Quick Question About Drilling Skis for New Bindings

So I've got a pair of Salomon 2012s that I'm giving to my friend flat. They have been drilled twice already. If he gets them drilled one more time for his bindings will the skis suck? I'm giving them to him relatively like new because they were too short for me.

Relatively like new with 2 mounts?

Anyways, good skis will last through 3 mounts, then it's usually time to get new skis.

lol yeah I bought them used like new with bindings, remounted, and barely used them. He's just gonna use them to dick around in Michigan so hopefully it will be aight. Thanks

3 mounts is just fine, the thing you have to worry about is a possible hole conflict between the new and old mounts.

GENERALLY 3 is the Max... However my old Scott's have been mounted 4-5 times. Each set of holes moving up towards center of the ski. Granted I don't actually use these skis for snow, I've bent the crap out of them grass skiing and haven't had any problems. Note-my core is mush and have had to glue my bindings in place. Still no snapping when deeply flexed. So ya I continue to ride them on grass and snow :)

also ive seen people mount More than 3 without any interference, and the ski will still last If you take care of it

As others have said, make sure the holes are at least a cm a part and all old holes have been sealed. With that done, he should have no problems.
