Tanner Hall... A freesking legend? A pioneer?
NO, Get recked. This dude is actually an obnoxious bully and asshole.

Sure, he's been successful both on the snow and in the industry.... But this and all of his marijuana injections have gone straight to his head. Tanner Hall is certainly someone who we as a community should not look up to or speak profoundly of.

There are endless examples of Tanner taking things too far and making unlogical claims. He has a lack of brains, empathy and integrity. Roasting ski racing as 'easy' and calling out pro park skiers for their 'rollerblading style' through the park is wrong on so many levels.

Whatever the case... I hope his ankles are rebroken and stay broke forever so that he cannot continue to taint our snow, our community and our image as a sport. Red Bull made the right call in dropping their sponsorship, now its our turn.

It would be far enough to call me a bully for roasting tanner, but someone had to speak up. On a side note, has anyone else noticed that his computer has been stuck on caps-lock for ages?

skiguy04hahahaha every skier is an idiot for thinking tanner hall is the man, and even bigger for thinking he actually did something of substance for the 'ski world'

the man skis for a living, and that is not something that is noble or role model worthy… and if you do think he's some kind of saint then just do the world a favour and read a book on actual influential people in the world.

Also, for the record, he seems like a really shallow and insecure dude who had to face adversity for being a skier early on…BUT then he goes on to bash rollerblading which is actually quite literally a father to skiing… and the blatant attacks just show how he is trying wayyyy too hard to seem cool and wayyyy to scared to be identified as an 'outsider' based on the perception that blading is for 'outsiders'… talk about trying to be cool totally backfiring.

Lastly, to the dude who said everyone is a pussy - you are probably the most right, but if you think that, then you have more in common with Hall than you realize, and that DOES NOT make you cool. Haters gon' hate, as they say.

…and I know how hard some of you try to push this "I'm so cool" agenda (or most popular: I do tricks on skis therefore it is expected of me to think and act like an uneducated baboon)… especially behind keyboard, but it's kinda sad how people act fake because all they think about is how other people perceive them on a constant basis.


Rollerblading is not a father to skiing. . Skiing and surfing are the original action sports. Tanner is a wierd guy but in general hes quite nice in person. Everybody needs to chill the farrrk out it's skiing .. a fun sport not meant to be taken to seriously. .. On another note Tanner has come back from 2 career ending injuries, had his friends die, won every award possible in his sport,experienced drug addiction and over come it all while promoting his favorite sport.. you have to take your hat off to that.
The guy has incredible determinatio. he is cooked in the head though but you would probably be in a similar mind state if you went through all the stuff he has and grew up in the limelight from a very young age. If you want to look up to a role model in skiing look up to Candide.. In regards to the Op saying i hope he rebreaks his ankles.. karma is a bitch.. go shag a sheep.

the fucking winning big air trick was something like cork 9 or some dumb shit.. I did that my 5th time skiing… its not a huge deal… and hardly all that impressive

his points just arent valid.

skiers hit jumps and rails in the snowboard park before skiblades existed. that is where freeskiing came from. Ski blades came up parallel with freeski, it didnt give birth to freeskiing.

Honestly, people on here are fucked.I used to think the same thing, that Tanner had a shitty attitude and needed to be a better role model.

I was so fucking wrong. So wrong. This guy is 32 years old and still setting up backyard setups and hitting shitty PVC rails before the resorts open. He still hikes out to the alpine to dick around on skis. After all the shit this guy has been through in life and the ski industry he still does this shit. That is true love for skiing. Not skiing in an academy so he can win medals, or for his sponsors to make buttloads of cash, or to be the "best"....he just fucking loves it.

Maybe it's an age thing, but once you push closer to 30 life makes it fucking hard to love skiing. This dude just loves the sport more then any pro out there. This dude may not be a role model for you, but he sure is for me. Fuck racing, fuck robot style. You guys just need some perspective.

I disagree with you man, Tanner is who tanner is. He is a little flashy but the dude kills it on skis. No matter what he is still a legend. The guy just loves shoving his opinion in peoples faces, sometimes he sounds stupid but that's just what he does and what he's always done. I'm not sure why everyone's surprised. Also that staged photo of that Canadian chick IS fucking stupid, I would've made the same post calling her out. I'm sure if you actually got to chill with tanner in person he'd be a wicked chill dude. You might have to have to just shake your head "yes" if he goes on a little rant but I bet he's an awesome guy to get to know if you can see past that.

Yeah he was, and will forever be a freeskiing pioneer (Like straight up throwing the sickest shit for that time) but to be honest his not giving a fuck attitude is kinda lame now. Some of the shit he says makes him seem like a washed up loser, especially the sochi stuff. Why can't we all just ski how we want to, yes some people like competitions and some don't. who the fuck cares. In the end competitions, are just a platform that give more exposure to the sport we love. That's really the only shit that bothered me about Tanner. But yeah respect to him for shaping freeskiing into what it is today


For sure about the Sochi stuff. it was all fine when he was winning x-games and comps but when people wanted to get better and started training suddenly they were all dumbasses ruining the sport
