ndyeThat is exactly the mindset that those purchased/high budget candidates want you to think
All right, man.. I already pointed out that the laymen could stand up and revolt but we're too comfortable. I have no ambition to change shit currently. I don't want to run any town much less a country. If somebody came along and had values I liked then I would jump aboard. Look back at that video I posted a few pages ago of the media straight up ignoring Ron Paul. He got 3rd in the Straw Poll and they never mentioned his name but discussed other candidates who placed below him. They have made it extremely difficult to infiltrate. They usually stop people before they even come remotely close. We're fucked and need to start from the ground up.

they are kind of doing the same thing to Ted Cruz right now.
californiagrownHey conservatives! The SCOTUS just pissed all over you today. Hell, the most conservative of all the justices was the one who wrote the opinion.
Liberalism wins again! Long live obamacare!
The Supreme Court upheld Obamacare as Constitutional. We already knew it was Constitutional. If the Supreme Court's job was to rule on whether or not laws would destroy the country, it might have been a little more devastating. As it is, this was a no-brainer decision that even conservatives should support if they have any intellectual integrity.
S.J.Wno offence kid, but you're 16. You don't know shit about politics, world views or anything. You're just rehashing whatever your parents views are (probably). You're not even old enough to vote. Wait until you have real world experience before you make up your mind on whether you're left or right wing.

Conservatives and intellectual integrity...lol.
Oh is Obamacare going to destroy this country? Just like ISIS?
yes and my knowledge grew vastly over the two years to when I was actual able to cast a vote and I actually wanted to know about politics and not just vote for any fuckstick.

forcing people to pay for insurance regardless if they want it or not classifies as intellectual integrity?
This thread is a living, breathing, and walking example of why the two party system needs to be either revamped or just killed off. The amount of time we all spend going at each others throats could be spent in other, more useful, accomplishing ways.
But thats just retarded using logic and stuff, right? Its better just slinging shit at anyone and everyone.
S.J.WWoah, I never knew ISIS took over France. Damn I need to get up to date on current events.
There's a big difference between a cyber attack and taking over a country. Or did fox news not include that part?[/QUOTE
ISIS has a notable influence in France right now and I am not talking about a cyber stack I am talking about a real attack in Texas at a freedom of speech event I'm sure MSNBC didn't include that part
I ask you this because I used to have similar thoughts as you until I started carrying my own weight and paying all of my own bills. I just can't comprehend how so much of my paycheck goes to taxes. Yeah some of it is for the roads, police, fire, ems etc. But, the portion that goes toward paying for other people's welfare and food stamps gets to me. The percentage is small, but there are people who live off that shit. And there are plenty of people who lie and abuse the system. For example, the Hasidic jews pay no taxes and they don't get married through the state. So, the wives claim welfare and foodstamps because on paper they are single moms with multiple kids. And you're proud of that system?
But i know half of you shtick is playing devil's advocate and always disagreeing so I don't fully buy what you're saying..
We make people pay taxes for a lot of things they dont necessarily want. This is nothing new.
Nothing new but doesn't mean it is right.
If somebody wants to not pay into insurance then they shouldn't have to. They also shouldn't get treated.
Free country, except you have to pay for insurance, taxes, pay for wars you don't support, can't do with your body everything you want, can't smoke weed legally in most states etc. Just because these policies have always been around, does not make them right. Look at Gay marriage for example. That changed...

Precisely, and I am saying it is change that needed to take place, I dont want people dying outside of hospitals because they cant afford it, and I dont want to be picking up an excessive bill as a taxpayer if they do get treated.

I feels ya, I really do. But, this forced insurance is driving prices way up. Instead of a band aid costing a dollar, it may cost $20 to get one at the ER. I don't have exact figures but you hear it all the time. Tylenol costing $10 a pill in the hospital. Surgeries costing 100s of thousands. Medications costing 30k a year.
Also, obamacare messing up people's primary doctors and their coverage no longer covering the same shit. Driving up co-pays etc. I don't need to repeat all of my points.
I haven't been to a doctor in years yet I pay $120 a month plus what my job contributes monthly. If I was banking that, I would have enough when shit goes wrong. Also, if private procedures would have to be a reasonable price or there would be no industry. A true free market would work itself out.

Meh, a lot of plans change, but in all reality for someone who shops around properly, nationwide premiums have dropped for nearly the same or the same insurance for people within the 400% poverty level which is really the people this law was trying to help afford insurance.
A lot of the other shit you hear is rich people, who have a much easier time getting their voice heard, bitching.

I like the feeling I get when I help people less fortunate than myself. Taxes are simply a charity for which I have automatic bill pay.
Thanks for the exceptionally rare example of welfare abuse. When that's what you are forced to use as evidence against the system, I'd say the system works pretty damn well.

Oh is Obamacare going to destroy this country? Just like ISIS?
You were probably too busy celebrating the Supreme Court's dismantling of the 10th Amendment to notice, but just this morning ISIS beheaded a man in France, shot dead 39 people in Tunisia, and blew up a mosque killing 27 more in Kuwait. If you don't think we're next, you don't understand ISIS.
And yes Obamacare is going to ruin the country. It will simultaneously bankrupt the country and give the government an excuse to regulate every aspect of our lives. When people realize how much ski injuries cost the cash-starved state healthcare system, how long it will it take to ban skiing? They've already pretty much banned smoking because its unhealthy. What high risk activity will be next to go?

Lol, domestic terrorism poses more of a threat to America than IS does. You kill more of yourselves every year through gun crime but god forbid someone kills you in the name of Islam and your country will soon be run by sharia law. Yeah no, you're a dumb cunt.

Have you heard about Al Qaeda? They're ISIS' less evil, less competent older brother. In 2001 they killed more Americans than every mass killer in the past 25 years combined.

"civilians." You mean the people who gladly let militants use their children as meat shields? Just because they aren't holding a gun doesn't mean they aren't helping the terrorist cause.

okay there mate. stop listening to fox news. Not every person in the middle east is out to destroy America. That's just a dumb statement to make. IS is bad, I'm not disputing that so linking to very poorly written opinion piece is like trying to convince someone that 2 plus 2 equals four when they know two plus plus equals four. But while we're on the subject of Islamic terrorism.
Your fear against IS is irrational and really goes to show just how much intellect you have. A black person has more of a chance of being shot by a police officer than they do by being a victim of Islamic terrorism. Instead of basing your fear on what Fox news tells you, how about you actually research the topic and that way you won't make yourself look like an uneducated idiot.

I'm not scared of ISIS. I think they're probably capable of attacking Americans, but they don't scare me. Nonetheless, being scared of them would be completely reasonable. Need I remind you one more time about 9/11?
You know why black people have such an elevated chance of getting shot by police? It's because they commit violent crimes, like homicide and robbery, at a rate 8 times higher than whites. Of course black people have a greater statistical chance of getting shot by a cop than killed by an islamic terrorist. They also have a greater chance of dying by falling out of bed than they do of getting killed by a shark. It doesn't mean beds are more dangerous than sharks.
But while we're on the subject of islamic terrorism: .
louie.miragsforcing people to pay for insurance regardless if they want it or not classifies as intellectual integrity?
Republicans were happy about the ruling because had 6 million people lost their health insurance overnight, they had no plan to help them out. none. would have been a total shitshow for the GOP.

Did you know that australia has done exactly nothing to depose tyrannical dictators and stop crimes against humanity around the globe?

Oh Al Qaeda? You mean the fanatical group we help create/arm to stop Russian expansion in the middle east? But that of course was when the CIA was buddy buddy with Bin Laden.
Terrorism happens all over the world but us Americans always feel we have a target on out back. We are directly responsible for ISIS's military growth. If we stop giving military vehicles and munitions to say, that joke of an Iraqi army, where they always end up in ISIS hands than maybe their expansion would be stunted. Or better yet, arm the Kurds and back them over the Iraqi's considering they have already proven they are a far more effective fighting force.
60% of Americans (or around there) are opposed to fighting another war. We dont need it. Its the targeted Fox News/conservative fear mongering that makes people think we need boots on the ground, but we dont. That indecisive pussy Obama already sent what 600 troops to train and delegate that embarrassing Iraqi army, we dont need to risk any more American live after that shitshow/fallacy that was the Iraqi war...

Few misconceptions here.
First, we did not create Al Qaeda. Al Qaeda came about from the chaos of post-Soviet Afghanistan where, rather than provide support to the moderates like Ahmad Massoud, the United States took a hands-off approach and let the country decide on its own. The result was that Afghani muhjahideen were unable to come to a consensus on how to run the country and it plunged into civil conflict. During this chaos many of the foreign Arab fighters were united by Bin Laden and other Islamic fundamentalists (namely with Muslim Brotherhood roots) decided that they were going to create a group that was going take up jihadist activities elsewhere.
However, it was not until the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait did Al-Qaeda turn its eyes towards the United States. As some of you older members may recall, Saudi Arabia called for military aid from its allies, fearing that it would be next on Saddam's list of countries to attack. Osama went to the Saudi royal family and pledged the support of his fighters but was quickly rejected. Instead, the Saudi's turned to the US and asked for their military support. This was a slap to face of Osama for in the Quran it is considered sacrilege for foreign soldiers to be in the holy land of Islam. Osama quickly denounced the Saudi and the United States and moved to Sudan after he was forced to leave by the Saudis.
Still, Al Qaeda did not target many foreign interests for they were too small. During this time, Saudi Arabia recognized the Oslo Accords, causing Osama to anger even more. This was the pivotal time for Al Qaeda, where, after a few failed attacks on African politicians, they were forced to move once again from Sudan to Afghanistan, where they truly took root.
So, tl;dr. Early Al Qaeda members rose from the chaos of Afghanistan, but did not establish themselves until the mid 1990s when they teemed up with the Taliban.
Secondly, we are not solely responsible for the military growth of ISIS. ISIS has gained its weaponry from three sources: private support, military conquests, and purchasing it itself.
ISIS is the worlds richest terrorist group, generating its income from three main sources. These sources include oil, taxation/ransoms/theft, and private financiers. Its oil fields, as of fall 2014, were able to produce $200,000 to $400,000 worth of oil a day. Its ransoms and theft generate 8%-10% of its other income, with ransoms supposedly generating $25-$35 million over a 12 month period. Unfortunately, it is impossible to estimate how much private financing generates for their total income. Still, ISIS is able to bring in millions of dollars. It would be unwise to think that ISIS is not able to purchase its weaponry from black market dealers.
Despite public persistence to the contrary, ISIS has numerous support in both Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Turkey has been a thorn in the side of both Kurdish and Allied coalition attempts to stop ISIS. Turkey has left its borders open for ISIS, allowing for easy entry and exit of goods, namely oil to purchase weaponry. The Saudis, with their Wahhabist interpretation of Islam, often support extremists. Despite their governments protests to the contrary, there are numerous private donors who are funding ISIS, allowing them to purchase weaponry.
Finally, the third source for weaponry as stated above, is military conquest. Yes, the US has dropped military aid in the wrong places, allowing ISIS to gain access to more guns and ammunition. Yes, Iraqi forces have looked like the French during World War 2, but to blame the US entirely is wrong. ISIS' history can be traced back to the Syrian Revolution, where they often entered conflicts that gave them access to greater spoils of war, allowing them to increase the amount of weaponry they had. So, while the US has made mistakes, it is incorrect to blame the US entirely for the rise of the ISIS militant force.
And to arm the Kurds would be diplomatic suicide for a few different reasons but in a nutshell, the militant Kurds are labeled terrorists by the UN and NATO, have a presence in a few countries we call our allies, and are generally hated by the Middle East. We don't need the Middle East to hate us more.

Rather confident about it. Seeing as I wrote a paper about ISIS financials and studied the history of Al Qaeda, Osama, and Islamist Politics within the past 12 months, I would say my understanding of their history, the rhetoric, and differences between the original Afghani Arabs and Al Qaeda is rather strong.

Because a fetus doesn't develop a conscious until 24 weeks and after that it is illegal to have an abortion. And rightly so. But before that, what's the difference between a fetus and me shooting off to pornhub into my crusty sock? But don't preach about abortion being murder while at the same time eating meat.
