Scariest crash you've ever had.

I have 2 that tie. (1.) I was 11 my mountain had a 45-50 ft jump, i was little so i had to tuck for quite a bit to clear it. It was a spring day after school with that weird kind of snow thats sometimes, fast sometimes slow. SO i tucked in knew something was wrong thought i was gonna knuckle so stayed tucked popped as hard as i could and took it to about 75-80 at flat and broke both my ankles.

(2.) This was recently closing weekend really nice 40ish ft jump. I was throwing sevens off of it which i was beggining to like them off a big jump versus a small one. I go to throw one and at about 270 my ski come off mid air... at first it didnt really click as bad to me i was just thinking get it to 7 and land/washout tom walnuts style. then i relized its really hard o spin with one ski took it really deep and landed at 630 instantly lost 2cnd ski and whipped my shoulder/ head into ground... saw stars

my buddy and i were bombing rollers at Vail and didn't realize what we thought was a roller was really a drop to moguls until we were at the edge, since it wasn't marked. i was able to clear about half of them before hitting and tomahawked for a good 30ft. the first time my head hit in the tomahawk was pretty brutal and looking back it should have broken my neck. i got really lucky

last day of the first weekend of my season couple years ago, november 11 at killington.

Woke up in the woods.
still no memory of what happened that morning, but my friend was with me and says we were bombing a groomer at the end of a park lap, and suddenly I wasn't in front of him. we think i caught on some manmade snow or ice on this roller and lost it and flew into the woods. he saw me in the trees thankfully, i was unconscious for a minute or two, but he stopped a ski racer with a radio and they got a toboggan down fast - arrived as I was waking up. Helmet cracked, broke a wrist, and had a small amount of bleeding in my brain. Helmet saved my life, yo. scared the shit out of me.
I'm fine now, but I just am more vulnerable to concussions so I've been filming and chilling more.

My ski tip went under a root and I double ejected and landed about an inch from falling of a 25ft cliff with rocks at the bottom

The scariest one I can remember now is probably when I was bombing down on the last run of the day with some of my friends. I went to brake a little and lose some speed when I caught my inside edge still going really fast and I spun around backwards. The next thing I know I am staring at the sky flying down the hill head first. I then landed and tomahawked a couple of times. It ended up actually being pretty chill and I had no injuries whatsoever. I am still surprised I didn't injure something.

I saw a guy break his jaw and get knocked out on the Barn feature at Carinthia. If you don't know what the barn is its basically a barn with box/wall ride on the roof and coping on top. Sn8boarder comes up loses his edge smashes face and gets knocked out and just slides down leaving a trail of blood behind him. We stay with him and get people to get patrol. Next run I'm on the chairlift see a guy take off the step down backseat on Nitro directly to his upper back/neck/head. The saw another guy knuckle really hard on gulch and needed patrol. Barely threw any tricks that day I was so spooked

1- hitting rollers in the trail really fast. One ski pops off on a landing and the other catches an edge and shoots me into steep thick woods. Thought my life was over and hit a tree with my thigh. Ski patrol thought I broke my femur and collarbone so I was rushed to the ER with a neckbrace, IV, oxygen mask, heart rate monitor and such.... Scariest shit ever. Made it out with a broken hand, concussion, and really messed up hamstring.
2- Knuckled on a smallish jump doing a 3 and landed weird with my dins too high and my ski caught and twisted my ankle for a solid 10 second tomahawk down the slope.

Not a crash, but I had a pretty scary experience at big boulder this past season. My friend and I were training the last jump in love park. I did a flat 3, and while I was upside down I saw a guy underneath me getting his skis. Went way over him though, and got a huge "ohhhhh" from the lift.

Scariest:
Bombing through the trees on the Edge at Mont Tremblant when one of my skis eject. I fall forward and slide through the trees head first.

Worst: It's December, my first day of the season. Not much snow but the park crew built a glorified mogul with what little snow there was. No landing, just a bump. I was getting a feel for my skis. I was throwing some 3s, and all was well. Last thing I remember was waking up with ski patrol around me, I wasn't able to see anything. I was fucked. Then I was in the patrol hut on a bed, and they were asking me if I knew where I was, how old I am, and if I knew what day of the week it was. I knew nothing. Long story short, after about 4 hours in the ER I got released with my memory returning, a stiff neck, and a major league headache. That's how I started my 14/15 season... Go team...

Overshot a 20ft jump that looked like it was 35ft+ from the takeoff. Completely cleared the landing and landed 15ft down the flat. Tried to arse out to save my knees but ended up catching my jaw on the top of my pole. Skied a few more runs then got ambulanced off the mountain with a fractured jaw and suspected broken neck. Bent my new pole clean at a right angle.

worse for me was trying to hit a tyre bonk for the first time with a pretty steep lip and i straight lined it from the jump before it i cleared over the top by at least 10ft and landed 20ft away from it back slapped real bad but still rode it out

it wasn't me, but i saw what had to be the most fucked up crash in years at my home mountain (Blue Mountain Ontario) this passed season. It was pretty early season so they just had a few small jumps and rails open. There was a 15-20 footer midway down, it gave a lot of kick for a small jump, and I noticed this kid, probably 13 or 14, just hauling ass right from the top. The kid could have cleared an x games big air jump with the speed he had. Before you know it he hits the lip, me and my buddy looked at each other thinking we were about to watch this kid die. no lie, when he was at the height of his jump we were looking up at him from the chairlift, thats how high he was. He took it to about 65 feet (i couldn't make this shit up, he coulda cleared three of the jump he hit) and was out cold the second he hit the ground. One leg was twisted backwards, the other one was defiantly broken too. Somehow the kid woke up about 5 minutes later, in shock obviously but its a miracle this kid lived. If you're out there man, keep shreddin i hope the recovery wasn't too bad.

Someone asked me to huck a 60 foot cliff on a powder day. It went something like:

Did a solo run through the woods because I was with some boarder friends, ate shit real bad. Initially thought I dislocated my ankle, tried to stand up but couldn't put any weight on it. Was able to make it down the mountain with just a minor sprained ankle.

hot lapping the park with my friends and I was absolutely charging back to the lift. On the way down I was jumping on and off the cat track. Well I set up to pop off the track and didn't really take into account my speed, I went off the jump. In midair I see a tree coming in fast. I panicked and lost my balance and in an attempt to not hit the tree, landed on my side. The ski pole ended up cutting my chin. Scary to think I could have walked a tree going 30mph
