.Rybak.Arent you getting a house soon?
momsspaghettiall bills are split evenly....it's the only fair way
otherwise, you get situations like these: "i don't watch tv" "i shower at the gym" "i use less electricity" "i don't use the internet"
cut the BS and split it evenly.
cornholioagreed w/ this on the cable bill. bills are split it's just a part of living with other people.
for the other stuff as others said you need to be straight up and tell them what's not working for you. if they can't make an effort to fix it after you've discussed all the issues it's time to get out of there.
in the meantime buy your own door lock so you can keep that shit locked when they're having parties. eating all of your food is shitty so tell them to stop
good luck
ImmasHey NS, how's your day going? Basically, I have roommate problems. I live in an apartment off campus, and have one male, and one female roommate. They used to date, so it's kinda awkward at time, The male will make dinner for my roommate using my food, and leave me empty handed. They frequently throw parties, and allow people to go in my room during said events. One thing that bugs me the most is the cable bill, it sounds stupid, but I don't know how ours works/watch tv, so paying $40 a month for something I don't use kinda bugs me. I've had things stolen from me, or thrown out because "they weren't sure if I was using it." Our lifestyles really don't vibe, but they're nice so I thought I'd be able to last a year in this place. I have no say in basically anything in the house, but the girl and I are really good friends so I kinda ignore it. I'm considering moving out and trying to find a different place. This would require breaking my lease, but would be way better for me mentally. So NS, how do I go about telling my roommates they need to start looking for someone to take my room/tell my friend she's great but I can't live with her?
fghtoffyrdmnsyou could always just poop in their pillow too
ZachAndCheeseput laxatives in all the food that you own and they are likely to steal. This should teach them to eventually not steal your food.
SKI.INGAlso, when I first got an apartment my sophomore year of college I bought a doorknob with a lock and key, and I just swapped that out at every apartment I rented. That way when there were ragers or whatever I didn't have to stress if I wasn't there, etc. They are super cheap too. Just put the old one back when you move out. Tough this lease out, then move.
Huck_NorrisPut a lock on your door and get a mini fridge in your room.
That or kill one of them and string them up outside to let the other one know what you're capable of.
Caleb.Esammi, sammi, sammi.....just talk to them girl, lay our lines down on EVERYTHING. For the cable bill tell them to fuck off, you dont use it, its a commodity and its theirs to pay.
WampireI was in a similar situation to yours.
My mom would walk in on me masturbating so I just started to leave rotting animal carcasses outside of my door and she eventually stopped coming in. I got used to the putrid smell, and also when i got hungry and wanted a little snack the dead animals are home to some bonus maggots. They are high in protein so they keep you full for a while.
So not at all like your situation actually.
Lord_Byronhonestly this is probably yer best option. Shitty people rarely have a response to honesty. Tell them what they do that pisses you off, but tell them you still really like them as friends, you dont want to deal with the some of the shit they bring as roommates. They might not even know what they're doing is upsetting.
fghtoffyrdmnspee in their butt
fghtoffyrdmnsanother option, which I'm ashamed NS has not mentioned yet, is that you can pee in their butt
WampireThey share a butt too? gross
ImmasZach, plz. Don't make me take down my fghtoffyrdmns banner out of shame.
ImmasNS: Thanks for the advice. It's super solid, and I'll def be using some of it. My place is in a pretty good location, so that's my biggest hesitance. I'm gonna talk it out and go from there.
theabortionatorAlso if you live close by I can come over and stand there as back up so it's 2 on 2.
Lord_Byronlets win with numbers! Be there in 10
