parkplaygroundevery Line ski i have ever used has dissapointed me with performance, but for worst ever ski, are you talking park or in general?
I was a FIS racer and was a ski bum for 4 years after that. Line skis have plenty of performance and are actually fun to ski on. There are countless other NS over-hyped skis that are lifeless and boring.

I've ridden every park model besides the future spins and just haven't been impressed. Or even felt like they were use able for what I wanted. I personally like stiff skis with a lot of pop and lines dont provide for what I like. Tbh I feel the same with armadas too they are not poppy at all compared to the skis that I use. Not saying either company is bad but I don't think they are up there performance wise
TheSkiMonsterFischer RX8 and RX9 were hot skis, sold a lot of them at their peak in the mid 2000's. Easily 8 out of 10 sold (that we sold) delaminated.
From a warranty perspective it was the worst ski we can think of.
The first year of the Head iM70/75 i sold a ton of them. I also had a rental fleet full of deck iM70s.
The caps all chipped off. Every single one of them. Head's warranty system didn't require an RA# at the time, you just sent them back. I shipped pallets of them back. Several hundred pairs.
But they skied nice.
Pocket Rockets on the other hand, were dreadful skis.
Not 1 sale and not 1 review (although exoticskis.com were interested in trying them out.)
I think they were/are just too expensive, although things may change in the future, and I'd make a few improvements to make them as ill as possible. (I have some freestyle variants in mind but those would be more for park bandits)
I was sort of hoping to see the wide-body design become more prevalent since putting them out... even for jumps that could work.
Anyhow, I was thinking the other day H****C^^^^ isn't really a ski or a brand. It's an evolutionary direction.. the destination is as yet unknown but I'm working on it. I've got my music and crystals to take with me whenever I ski next... just need to be fitter. I've been practicing walking around with my new mp3 player grooving away in crowded places, and not really giving 10 flying fucks how other people react.

Well, I've got a few head necklaces with crystals tied into it.. a new one with two topaz stones.. one at each temple (on each side of forehead.) It's friggin awesome for staying centered. Also, a green garnet 'heart' stone ..... more info in gallery

It means that I should be using the HC ski while wearing a crystal necklace, a head necklace (a 3rd crystal in my pocket) while listening to music that I've created. That's about all I can say right now until I do it. Anyhow, please just continue with the thread.
Line Masterminds (2010-2011) were hell. They were cheap and they lived up to that. The construction was absolute trash, and the topsheets chipped easily.
Infamous. They both tails delaminates the same time about a month and a half after purchasing. They also had ugly graphics but that doesn't matter. They carve good because atomic is a race company but they were not that great for park.

Wut?
Define: Crystal "A crystal or crystalline solid is a solid material whose constituent atoms, molecules or ions et cetera are arranged in an ordered pattern extending in all three spatial dimensions."
How the fuck is that going to help you ski? Or do anything aside from act as a cooze magnet for hippy chicks?

I believe he is referring to crystal meth as that is what he is on

my skis used to be rentals, I have 50+days on those thIngs.
The crystals work because as they form..ie grow over millions of years in the ground, they obtain and necessitate a particular energy, which worn close to the body, feeds back into or resonates with the body.
I am reading a book about it (Stones of the New Consciousness) and also experimenting in my daily life. (there're pics in my gallery of me wearing certain crystals)
"the ability of biological organisms to form fluid structures of some rigidity in an aqueous environment is central to the existence of life on this planet.” James L. Oschman, who authored Energy Medicine: The Scientific Basis, echoes this sentiment by stating that “crystalline arrangements are the rule, not the exception, in living systems.” He also states that, “Crystalline components of the living matrix act as a coherent molecular antenna, radiating and receiving signals.”
"The way to tune this antenna is through the repetition of such practices as yoga, martial arts or even playing an instrument. These disciplines also involve entrainment, which is mindfulness of breathing and heartbeat rhythms that bring the body and brainwave activity into a synchronous, harmonious state. Entrainment of the crystalline matrix in this way brings the entire being into a state of coherence. In other words, the whole being becomes one big, resonant antenna."
So basically I am saying I expect you can get into these resonant states by skiing.. and I don't mean adrenaline-based (ie fear-based) skiing, rather skiing where you should feel like smiling.
Basically wearing crystals for me supercharges the heart-based awareness I've been talking about (even further amplified by the music.)
The key is to find the right crystals and right music for you. Every crystal feels different but the ones that jump out at you are the ones to use because you are resonating with them. The placement on the body is also another art/science.
"A crystal is just a rock with really well-sorted atoms that fit neatly together in a regular pattern." source
You can call it all bullshit, but at the end of the day if it makes you a better skier.. ie faster, bigger, more relaxed, happier.. then it'd be foolish to ignore.
I've used crystals in healing sore bones and muscles: quartz emits far-infrared rays and negative ions which are both scientifically measurable.
check out this interesting video of melting water on a hand, quartz or bottle cap.

This is literally the dumbest thing I've read on NS

I got Afterbangs last season just because of the hype, but even though they are really poppy, which I love, turn radius is shit and they're only fun if you're just bombing down the hill.
SteezySmith57what was the goal of these? ive seen so many of these last year in all the shops i went to, and they still are there today
Turn any skier into a "great skier" in any condition and turn great skiers into amazing skiers.
People that knew how to carve hated them.
I work at a shop that sold them for two years and I am proud to say I did not sell a single pair to a single person.

What are your thoughts on embedding crystals into a ski to imbue it with the energy?
RudyGarmischWhat are your thoughts on embedding crystals into a ski to imbue it with the energy?
Good question, initially I thought about doing that for the next ski model, then I thought why not create some addon for any ski. Then I thought, stuff it, I'll just wear them. I've spent a fair bit of money on crystals over the last few months on ebay. Money well spent: crystals are an integral part of human civilization. Mind and emotions are energy, so it stands to reason that crystals will interact with them (if you still have them.) Actually, Opals are said to be good for people with minimal or deadened emotions... Skiierman?
The problem is of course working out a way to embed them on a ski so they don't chip off or are stolen, but more importantly, having a way to change and switch them would be ideal. Lining the topsheet of a ski with tiny rhodizites would be superb bling.
Speaking of rhodizites, I've had a persisting sore knee for ages, but since wrapping a double rhodizite necklace around it when I sleep, the pain has pretty much gone away.
A boot addon might work best - but something you can focus on on the chairlift would be ideal, maybe on the top of a pole, although skis would be best. The other issues is crystals can gradually disolve in water, and should not be encased in plastic or synthetic material (although it could be better than nothing.)
But really you just need to feel their presence and you can do that without needing to look at them.
Oakley should do a Crystal headband, but I suppose a large company like that would be last to try anything new.

Dude, this is some witchdoctor nonsense. You're like a snake oil salesman promoting this crap.
Some things that actually make you better at skiing (in no particular order):
1. Hard work
2. Dedication
3. Practice
4. Hucking it
5. Fitness
6. Nutrition
7. Having fun
This crystal garbage has to be some of the most uneducated pseudo-scientific bullshit I've ever seen on NS. This is almost more insane than eating the actual flesh of christ at communion. Selling a placebo effect like this is fraudulent at best. Some poor kid is going to strap some quartz to his neck, try to misty, and get wrekt. All because some jackass was promoting crystal magic over actual training.

Dude, you've clearly never used crystals before. You don't even know...
Time is still going, so you can't say "worst of all time" unless you can see into the future. 1 person (Daniel from Ehrwald) used the ski and said they liked them on piste but not off jumps. Not really a review.. but..
Anyway, park skiing and landing switch isn't newschool anymore. It's an Olympic sport, it can be very daunting to the newcomer, it's specialized (in terms of training) and it's injury prone. The founders are fading from the limelight, right? It also wrecks your bases (which is dumb) and urban is flamboyant (imho).
The average NS showboater buys all the stuff and does many of the tricks.. the result... no love back (or not much). Why? They're not best at anything, and they're definitely not the first.
I'm will be claiming OG status with extra wide-body skis and now with crystals. There. And I don't wear Saga either. I'm not waiting for anyone's approval or permission.
