ON3P jeffery 114 vs Armada jj

this is a cause of turmoil in my life right now. i have been on the jjs for 2 seasons now and i have never had more fun on a pair of skis. the jjs are the shit and i don't really want to move on but i grew out of them. so i figure why not try out a new company/ski that is similar but not the same. i have heard amazing things about on3p and have been able to ride last years caylors and loved them. they are both about the same width and the same length and the same rocker profile but i want to try em out.

they will both be around the same price with my employee discount. so price isn't a factor.

so which should i chose?

the jj which i know, love, and am 100% sure i will have a fuckton of fun on

the jeffery 114 which look so dope and would be a new experience for me.

definitely dump your current gal and go for the shinier new one. Your old girl is nice, but lets face it everyone else in the ski community has ridden her and this new improved version you're eyeing is much prettier, less travelled and good for the long haul

DarthVaderSpecifically, what features did you like about the Caylor and JJ?


the JJ was light as fuck, had solid edge control, wasn't to stiff or too flexy

the caylors charged so hard and fast, amazing flex, edge control was perfect

the only differences between the two was that the caylor felt alot more stable at high speeds, and that the jj was significantly lighter. but the caylor had soloman demo bindings on it so it made sense how heavy it was.

Caylor will probably still end up being heavier than a JJ, no matter what's mounted to it. There must be someone out there that's gone JJ to Caylor that can speak up about the big changes in adapting you riding from one to the other.

jj is quick turning and light. i like that ski a lot. very easy to control. i found where i ski in heavier nw snow, i prefer the full sidewall of the on3p. bigger turn radius, but more rocker. so you get a charging ski that can still pivot easily. i am 5'9" 140 and i have a 181 jeffery. i like it, but i have also ridden the 176 and thought it was fun as well.

I ride the Jeffrey every day, and it destroys the mountain. I find it super jibby. I think you will love a Jeffrey or Caylor. I really can't say much more, besides the durability is insanely good.
