Replying to Boot problem
Went to the shop today to get my used pivot 18s put on my new double times, and the guy wouldnt mount them because he said the toes and heels on my boot ('12 drop kicks, 28.5, used for less than a season, dyed them black) were too worn. he measured the width and it was a few millimeters below what they were supposed to be at. the heels are easy enough to replace, ft sells them on their website and they had them at the shop, but the toes would have to be done at a boot service shop. how would they do that and would it be worth it, or should i buy new boots? or should i just try another shop to see if they will mount them, i only say this because one the shop guy looked in a marker book to get the measurements and they are looks, so the size requirements are probably different, and when i look at the boot in the toe piece of the binding i cant tell what is wrong, even if the toe of the boot was a few mm's wider it doesnt look like it would be any different in the binding. thanks guys
