Is there one to skiing? Being tall? I'm 6'2", and it seems like i'm less balanced then my shorter 5'8" friend. I know being shorter is better because of lower center of gravity or something, but is there anything good to being tall? Extra steeze every inch past 6?
(we all know tall people have to buy tall tees even taller... Don't rub it in)
being tall is kind of annoying when it comes to park (i'm 6,1 and still growing i think) because the guys who are said to have the most steeze (bdog, edollo, woodsy, sammy carlson) are all quite short so they look like they have way better balance and their clothes look bigger on them and somehow they look way smoother. guys who are tall (henshaw, brown, goepper) sometimes get hate because theyre not steezy enough and a lot of that is just down to the fact that they are taller and their balance doesn't look so good
Or the people you listed as being "steeze" are more towards the style of skiing than the listed as being "not steezy enough" are more of winning comps. On the other hand henrik must be some sort of crazy euro kid.. oh wait. But in general you should research a bit more before you post stuff like that
the advantage to being tall is that you're not short. Skiing may be one aspect of life where its better to be shorter, but ill take being 6ft 1 over being 5 ft 7 any day. plus youre not gonna be able to ski forever.
I'm 6'1" and 155lbs.. guess I'm not the only skinny guy out there! And I think that being tall = longer skis, meaning more stability for the all-mountain side of things. I feel it is so much more difficult to stomp a cliff with smaller skis.
