Questions for new gear

I need new skis, new boots, new outerwear and probably new bindings.

So first for the ski i was thinking about the new 2014 chronics. I'm almost 15 years old, 5.6 and 110 pounds. It's my 3 seasons and I ski at a little Quebec resort. I ski basicaly only park and 70% rails 30% jumps. I want a really playful skis that will be good for probably 2 years in the park and maybe another for urban. Is that a good choice and what sizes I need?


Next, my older boots was somes spk and every times I was hitting a jump I was getting shinbangs. I was thinking about some FT's but I was wonderings if they will be tho stiff. If anyone had suggestion it would be great.


For my outerwear I really like the skinny pants. Plz help me to find nice ones and size i need?


For my bindings have some squire that I will use for my urban, backyard, summer skis. I need some for my park skis. I really like the fks but I don't need a 18 din. Does the marker griffins would be good bindings for me or just some other squire would be better.

Go to some ski shops and chat to the staff there. That is essential for boots so why not chat to them about everything you need. If your buying a full setup there bound to do you some deals. Also the reason you got shin bang was more likly that the boots just did not fit rather then the style. Getting them really well fitted is the most inportant factor, don't worry about what brand thy are, they may end up being a race boot or what you consider an old man boot, but if they fit they will work really well for you.

thx but the gear online are in sold now and the shop dont sell ski in this period of the year this is why i ask those question

Well in terms if skis and bindings yeah get Taft online if you want, but be aware if you need a warranty it's much better if you buy from a shop. But I can understand wanting cheap so go have a look at some skis you like the look of and post them up here and we can give you advice. It's kind of pointless is suggesting as you won't find everything in the right size ect, so see what you can get first.

As for boots never buy on line. Always get them from a shop.

Bindings depend on what you need. What din do you ride? Sid you have issues pre releasing on your squires.

Outerwear is very personal. Personally I always want to try stuff on and see how it fits before buying but you can usually get a fairly good idea from the sizing guides online.

yeah I'm going to shop my boots and cloths at a shop its just to get idea. For my Bindings I really want to get them online and for the skis if I am 100% sure of what i wants I will try to get a good price online if not i will just go to a shop. and I have no issue on my squire but they are on over the half of the max din and i see that the best his to get the half of the max din of your bindings

So what din setting do you use? I would guess a 12 din binding would work fine. Look at the sth 12 driver, px 12, peak 12 or griffins. All great bindings.

What skis have you been looking at? Do you know what style you want? Soft stiff rocker ect

Honestly you don't need a high din binding at all. At your size, the squires are probably fine. You said you thought the problem was that it was over halfway to the max din? As long as they aren't maxed out, it shouldn't be a problem

yeah but i need other bindings because I want a pair for my urban ski and one for my park skis so what will be the best for me the squire or the griffon?

For skinny pants I would suggest saga fatigue pants size M-L depending on how baggy you want them.

you should get rossignol axial 2s. One of my freinds that was about your weight exploded the toe peice of his griffons when he crashed off a rail. Axial 2s are way better!

Well it's going to depend on the ski you choose. Like I said if your looking for deals go see what you can get. Look for skis roughly 170-176. But as I said it totally depends on the ski.
