Throwing a big fly while it is pitch dark out has done wonders for my day time tiny fly abilities
And monster browns explode out of the water for mice flies at night, haven't been able to control my nerves and actually catch a fish but I'm been having a blast

I've been wanting to try this for over a year now. Closest I have came was catching a smallie on a fly popper while night fishing and even that was exciting.
Got a nice sized brookie the other day while fishing the tail end of a wicked thunderstorm. Over a foot long and caught it out of a creek like 3 feet wide. I gotta drag out the shitty gopro so I can at least post some picks of my local secret fishing hole.
I'm up in the UP for the opener and as a group we caught a few nice pike and walleye, but I've been catching lots of dinks
Idk what happened there were suppose to be walleye pics too. A 27.5 and a couple 26s plus a random 4.5 lb smallie. Neighbor also caught a 50 inch muskie trolling for walleyes. All of this within a couple hundred yards. The lake was going off on saturday. Missed primetime at night too because we ran out of leeches.
Dinks or monsters it doesnt matter, at least youre not working ha
