Yeah, but any given night, the A's could win like 9-0 against the Rangers, and the local media will focus on the Giants losing 4-2 against the Rockies or something...
My team gets zero respect, but whatever. I can just hope we pull out a win today and go 4-2 against the Red Sox and the Pirates - League leaders in both the NL and AL in wins.
Absolutely no reason he shouldn't be heading to all-star weekend. Oh well, least there's zero chance he'll get Ray Fosse'd by staying at home and relaxing.
You have no idea how great it is to have some one who loves the A's as much as I do.
At least we have Cespedes in the derby but I agree Dondalson should be on the roster. But all that really matters is that they keep playing good ball and they have a chance to go all the way.
I wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole, especially as he won't be ready until september at the earliest. He's going to spend some good time in A and AAA seeing batters.
Highly doubt he closes on that team. He's more of an 8th inning guy at this point. Not even worth a roster spot at all.
They can have our sloppy seconds. It's a loss for both parties. Wilson has to live/play in LA and the Dodgers now have the Giants' problems. We won a WS without him too.
^ i hope your pirates win tonight. got Locke going for fantasy, which i might not normally do against the Cardinals, but they've lost 6 straight soo its worth a shot.
Didn't really read through the entirety of the last couple pages but I just caught wind of this:
Commissioner Bud Selig is prepared to levy a lifetime suspension on New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, while suspending about eight others before the weekend, two people with knowledge of the negotiations told USA TODAY Sports.
The people were unauthorized to speak publicly because no announcement is expected until Thursday or Friday.
I believe the most recent news is calling for suspension through the end of the 2014 season.
Also, I'm very excited with the addition of Peavy. The Red Sox have a solid rotation for the first time in a while, and should have a solid 1-2-3 going into the postseason (assuming they get there of course). It does suck to see Iglesias go, hopefully this is a sign that Bogaerts is almost ready. 2 years ago, I doubt this trade would have gone down.
thats what I heard too but that article was posted tonight so who knows, the guy has literally nobody on his side not even his own association. the guy has stolen millions and millions from the league and done x amount of damage to it at the same time.
I have mixed feelings about it, as a Sox fan and a baseball fan I hate the guy. At the same time though the MLB is basically bailing the Yankees out of one of the worst contracts in history, which kind of pisses me off.
