Well 45000 Blue Jays tickets just sold out in less than 1 minute, that was pretty rediculous. But it just goes to show how pumped we are here.

Who do you like this season? Blue Jays are World Series favorites ;)

I blame it on Buck Martinez. Right before the first of the three home runs, Buck said Loney doesn't hit many home runs, a hand full of pitches later the rays went back to back to back

...remember this much. This is still the pirates. I don't trust the pirates to keep it up this whole year, or any year - especially what with the Reds and Cards hot on their coattails.

We'll see what happens at the end, but this is probably the best chance they've had so far for the first winning season in 2 decades..

Yasiel Puig is so fuckign good.He is on fucking fire today, 2 singles a triple, and a double... however he just got thrown out stealing third. Dodgers are getting a dynamic going and have been playing pretty well. They go on the road after this series with the Phillies. If they do well on the road they can jump in the standings quite a bit as they're playing the rockies then the giants. Go doyers!!!

San Francisco is 40-49.


Worst. "Champions". Ever. Just like two years ago, won't make the playoffs, or even remotely compete for them in the parade year.

What a pathetic display. Can't even come close in an otherwise free-for-all of a division because they just plain out SUCK.


Meanwhile, Oakland Just lit up KC. Sorry.

I'm actually excited for Pittsburgh - Oakland though. One of my favourite matchups, actually. Last season's series was a lot of fun. I say we bring back the 70's retro unis for a game again.

NL West is god awful (only one team above .500) this year so I would say the Giants really suck too

As to the topic of oakland... Im pulling for them to go on a streak and lead the division by more than a few games in a few weeks

They are the best team in baseball since July of last season, and they have a pretty easy schedule the rest of the year. They have 10 games in a row against LAAAA and Houston coming up in Late-July. They have yet to lose to Houston this season, and have downright owned the LAAughable Angels in the 6 games they've played so far against them.

Not much to worry about the rest of the way, as long as they survive ten games against Cleveland and Detroit - who are always massive thorn-in-the side teams.

They can handle their divisional foes - even though Seattle has been downright annoying.

Also, I almost hope the A's win the world series just so we can get some actual All Stars for once.

We are always fucking snubbed so damn hard. We should have at least 3 this season. Donaldson, Balfour, and Bartolo. Donaldson because he's fucking insane good, and has been on a season-long tear (though, I recognize third base is loaded for the AL). Balfour is going on the Oakland record for consecutive saves, and has yet to blow one this year. Bartolo has been really good this season, and is basically acting staff-ace, but he's the least All-Star qualified of the three.

As have no credibility because they make their own good players but never keep them. Because of their lack of ability to keep players they probably won't keep many.

The thing is, their players rarely do as well outside of Oakland.

I mean, McGwire and Giambi both were good... You could point to Hudson as another...

but... Tejada? Zito? Both have been bad ever since. Mulder? didn't do anything... more recently, Haren? Cahill? They basically turned into great trades for Oakland...

even Rickey Henderson never was as good outside of Oakland as he was in the white shoes...


The only trade that I really hate we made was Street and CarGo for Holliday. That turned out as a downright failure... and it was a traditional style gamble that Beane really doesn't make usually. doesn't matter though. Beane fleeces everybody so fucking hard most of the time.

For example, Rich Harden? turned into nothing for the Cubs, turned into Josh Donaldson for the A's.

So, really... Oakland not keeping their players is far less of an issue than you'd think. Just makes them way way WAY more scrappy of team.

My doyers are playing so well. Only 2.5 games behind the d-backs.

I love the dodgers and I hope they keep it up, but, they manage to be strong in the middle of the season every year then fucking blow it towards the end. I'm crossing my fingers though. Maybe Yasiel will carry us to the playoffs.

I absolutely detest the Giants, their entire fanbase, and most of all, the fact that they want the A's to leave the bay area all-together so they can moneygrub the shit out of it.

That team isn't run as a baseball franchise anymore... it's run as a media company. If the A's leave the area, they can start the SF version of the YES network and be Yankees-west. That's exactly what they want.



...Never thought I'd say this as a kid, but I'd root for absolutely anybody over the Giant twats infesting the foggy side of the bay.

Its the allstar game, its a chance for exciting players to showcase their skills. Its the 2013 all star game, this year, even playing only 35 games, I dont think theres any question its been an all star performance.


And Im no Dodgers fan, so this isnt me being a homer.

I hate the whole voting bullshit...

I especially hated it back when it was always the New Boston Yanksox playing for the AL every year

Least this year the Yankees are out of it... oddly enough Jeter still is like what.. 3rd or 4th in voting and hasnt played a single game?

This is what I hate the most about the steroid era... Now whenever a player is having a monster season, we all get the idea that 'hmm he might be juicin..'

I'll give Chris Davis the benefit of the doubt until otherwise. It's not unheard of for a guy to have a monster season like this.

My only hope, is that he breaks Bonds' record this year, and actually does it legitimately. Would finally bring back an untarnished record into the HR fold.
