Who wouldn't want to pick up a brand new ski movie in the middle of winter. Keep an eye out for that trailer. Word is its dropping at some point this afternoon. #keeplooking

or you could look at as 12 ski companies release their films in the same 1 month of a calendar year... here's a new film coming out for you guys mid-winter, when people are actually skiing and when people are stoked on skiing. if it wasn't for sponsors marketing cycles wouldn't it make more sense for films to come out throughout the year? The digital download is $5 and you guys get the movie file directly, no itunes to deal with. Thanks for the support!

C'mon man, it's probably a $10 film. Shit I'd pay 20. Either way if you have a job it really isn't that much to spare for a quality video. 4bi9 kills it with everything, definitely worth it.

That said, they should release another dope tall-t like they did with 'So Far So Hood', the greatest tall-t of all. time.

Well I'm pretty stoked on skiing all the time, but I'm especially excited TO ski in the Fall when the season is approaching.. And that is why I enjoy the influx of ski flicks in Autumn, they fuel the anticipation and ring in the Winter.

Once the season gets going though there's enough free pro and am edits consistently dropping to make purchasing new movies less necessary/feasible. So no, I don't think it would make more sense for films to come out throughout the year, but that's just me.

But for 5 dollars I can't afford not to buy this one.

I was wondering about the film awards though. When you release it late like this, you aren't eligible for various awards like IF3 or Powder Awards are you? Just curious. Great trailer BTW. Award winning!

keep it up 4bi9 i think the later release was a great idea. watching ski movies over the summer/fall (while it is enjoyable) doesn't get me pumped up nearly as much as watching a ski movie the day before i'm hitting the slopes or hitting urban.

and $5?! that's insane guys thank you for making this and thank you for making it cheap as well.

Im stoked on the mid winter release, actually very refreshing. Trailer was amazing, best work Ive seen from you by far. I also think that the $5 DRM free download is the best for both us (fuck iTunes and shipping).

Id love to have a date for a release, and also snapbacks in Canada.

I predict that dropping a sick ski movie in the middle of the season, for $5, on digital download will eventually rake in more cash than dropping it full price, out of season, on DVD. Many of my friends on facebook are sharing this trailer, and I know that they would not share it if it were the fall. The lack of competition is genius. Soooooo excited to see such a sick film for 5 bucks!

its a good thought and were not against movies coming out through out the year. but it works so well in skateboarding because there isnt specific time of the year when skateboarding cant really be done. you can skate 365 days a year in north america easily if you want to. I think ski and snowboarding will move more towards the random releases but there will always be the major movies with mega sponsors released in the fall.

haha, yeah instead the 'hint' is from, i guess what would be, all of the internet, and is moving towards shorter edits that are released 'whenever the hell they want to'. Unfortunately I am one who worries edits (and segment contests like Real Snow or that TGR comp) are a threat to the standard feature length movie model with larger budget internet edits appearing and hope that the feature movie companies can continue to sustain as more content, viewership and most importantly, sponsorship dollars goes into 3 to 5 minute edits that drop for free. Not like there was much money in ski films to begin with!

But yeah for sure the grace period that summer time offers for editing and the anticipation fall holds for sponsors product selling, the big movies will mostly drop in the fall for the rest of eternity i predict.
