tell your stories, heres mine to contribute to the thread: so one time back in 8th grade we had this total prick of a substitute who was Irish and a dick. anyway during the class we had this weird fire drill where the announced it over the phone and it was just like "every one get out of the building" so i got up and yelled intruders! and everyone started yelling intruders and ran out of the class. while everyone was outside waiting me and a few other kids snuck back and flipped over every desk, chair, and threw every thing into a huge pile and snuck back. when the class came to the room he couldn't prove who did it and ended up blaming it on this huge Tongan kid named lopeti who was a little slow. the sub ended up calling him a troll and told him to go back to the bridge he lived under, and then told him to open up the dictionary to stupid. after the five minutes of dead silence it took to find it the sub asked him to tell hi what was there and acted surprised there wasn't a picture of him there, roasted. any ways the 7 foot beast got up and walked right up to him, i thought he was gonna drop him but he then just turned and walked out of the room. me and a friend ended up going to the school disciplinary and telling him about what happened and the sub got ended up getting fired, and the school gave the Tongan kid an apology. they never even thought about who knocked over all the shit. basically i live the thuglife.

one time b4 the teacher got there i swapped Independence Day in for the history documentary VHS that was on the desk. that was pretty sweet

aha nice.

two of mine are; convinced the science teacher we were supposed to watch mythbusters, and when the teacher said to be quiet because they were turning on the gas and wanted to hear if there we leaks I randomly had a balloon that I blew up and slowly let the air out so they were stressed for 30 seconds until I told them

oh ya and one time me and some kids threw the subs briefcase out da window whaile he was out of the room. when he came back in he didnt know where it went and never ended up finding it, lol it had his phone in it.

Wait... you're sub was the prick? That's not what I'm getting from this story.

More often than not subs get told where they are going the morning they need to be there. They don't know the kids, the school, the staff and sometimes don't know the subject they are expected to teach. Lots of subs are new graduates who are still figuring out how to teach and others have retired and are sick of dealing with the spawn of hades.

Go back, read over your story again, think long and hard about the things you've done and the person you are and go do something nice for a stranger

Having been a substitute teacher on college breaks the last few years, and this entire year straight...it is kids like you that make a substitute teacher's life suck. It's already tough enough living your life on a 6am phone call not knowing if you'll be called in or not, and where you are going...let alone putting up with little pricks like you.

Its 7th grade and my schools run like a damn prison. The administrators always expect you are up to no good and treat kids poorly. The teachers are different. We had a sub and the sub forgot to lock the door on her lunch break and can not find her briefcase and is frantically, looking around the room. a few kids get up. Eventually the lesbian security gaud comes into the room. NO ONE MOVE OR EXIT THE ROOM!!. WE ARE GETTING TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS AND WILL INTERVIEW EVERY ONE OF YOU IF IT COMES TO THAT. WHERE IS HER BRIEF CASE! She then turns to the substitute teacher and says. "This is why the doors need to be locked every time you exit the room.

Thirty seconds later the brief case was found in the lounge where she left it. They always expected the worse.

I had this one old lady sub and she was honestly so rude, She was getting mad at this girl for mis-pronouncing a word, and would get mad at this other girl who had bad posture saying it was disrespectful and shit. Honestly was a bitch even the goody two shoes asian kids agreed. Couple weeks later we had the same one and the teacher wouldnt answer the 2 girls questions that she had issues with before. She wouldnt even acknowledge them. One of the girls called her out and stormed off to the office, we never saw the sub again.

We also had another old lady sub and I could swear she was deaf to the word "penis" me and a couple friends were playing it and we got it to a pretty decent volume, but the teacher didn't acknowledge it and called a couple other students out who seems to be talking a little too loudly, but they werent being louder than us. It was pretty amusing

the only sub i remember being a huge bitch was back in elementary school, but she ended up giving all the good kids jolly ranchers at the end of the day so from then on everyone was good when she taught haha.

this kid once put his phone in ceiling, like on top of a ceiling panel, and put it on quiet with a really subtle ring tone. He then had a bunch of people call him. Everyone acted like they didn't hear anything when it rang. and the teacher thought she was hearing things. it was a class of like 14 people so it actually held up pretty well.

I had a sub this year that's decently old, he's my favorite sub regardless, but with his wisdom comes a level of morbidness.

In science he started the class by telling us about a boy who hung himself because he believed so strongly in Superman that he thought he would save him and the boy ended up dying.

Then in a civics class he told us how he used to work in the inner city and discovered a 12 y/o girl was being sold by her mom to a guy in the Caribbean Islands for 5 grand and how the police investigation unfolded etc.

My grandma was a school teacher for a long time. For a good 20 some years, well into her retirement she was a sub for my middle school and high school (she was a sub at an elementary school, too, but not mine). I have brothers five and ten years older than me who also had my grandma as a sub. Well, my grandma is an old school hardass and despises chewing gum. I don't think school rules technically allowed gum in class, but it was tolerated by most teachers, anyway. Not so with grandma. Whenever class started, my grandma would introduce herself and say that she does not tolerate gum. Then she would show the class a sentence on the board that read, "I will not distort the shape of my mouth by masticating on delightful delectables while in Mrs. Teacher's class on January 15, 2013." She would have underlined "distort," "masticating," and "delectables." If she caught someone chewing gum, she would make them spit the gum out, write the sentence at least ten times (usually more) and copy definitions of the three words. What usually resulted is attention-seeking assholes chewing gum when she was teaching, and me getting shit about my grandma.

i have this one teacher, mr suitterman and they cal our class "hell" anyways there was this one black kid, jeramaya who was talking and the teacher told him to be quiet and jeramaya just ignored him. like 5min later he was still talking obnoxiously loud and the teacher told him to be quiet again and jeramaya yelled wachya gonna do whachya gonna do and the teacher told him to shut up, and jeramaya was like bitch shut the fuck up and threw his desk over. and mr suitterman was like im sorry jeramaya and jeremaya just walked out and slamed the door and mr suitterman man started crying at his desk.

Well I usually dont do shit work that the teacher assigns and never hear any consequences from it One time we convinced her we were allowed to look up things on our phones.

I will say that one time I had a pretty brutal substitute. I'm left handed and do my check marks backwards and she told me I had to do them the 'right' way. I told her no and she was like ya and I was like naww and it ended there.

She also tore a kids paper up for not underlining his title twice.. he cried, she sent him in the hall.

I guess that was pretty nuts.

But still man, why do people hate teachers, sure some people power trip, I mean fuck the police right, but hating for the sake of hating is lamezoids

We call them substitute teachers in Saskatchewan. Also we had a sub when I was in grade twelve English that looked like Morgan freeman. We were so excited and hoped he'd sound like him. Then he spoke...
