Shit's getting intense in Israel

well some of you may have heard the IDF is currently attacking Gaza, and because mainstream media would not display a whole picture, i've decided to enlighten some things.

About 2 weeks ago, Hammas and other terrorist groups decided to check (again) how tolerant Israel would be with them firing rockets and heavy mortar shells on israeli town and cities. It started out as up to 10 rockets and shells per day, and increased every day just "a bit" more (believe me, i've been to places where it happened, these booms are not just "a bit")
During the last week, 25+ rockets and mortar shells were shot every single day- the trigger for the israeli attack.
on wednesday afternoon, the first attack was preformed- attacking very accurately the head of Hammas armed forces (Not a military chief as mainstream media said, he was the head of a TERROR GROUP) and started attacking places where rockets were hidden in.

Over 300 rockets have been launched towards Israel in the past 48 hours. Including 2 rockets to Tel-Aviv area (2nd largest city in Israel, biggest metropolis in Israel). I had a call last night telling me to stay available on phone because I might get called up for reserve service.

Just thought I should share this, because wars are crap and mainstream media portray them however they feel like..

Some people believe that placing the Jews after WWII back in "their" land will eventually lead to the rebuilding of their Jewish temple on Mount Moriah, so that Jesus can come back and save everyone..
Problem is, there is currently a massive mosque in that site.. Obviously shit is going to go down

that map is bullshit..
in 1946 Israel was a british colony, hence- not a palestinian land.
in 1947, the founders of Israel as an independent country accepted the UN partition plan. in 1948 when Israel was declared -armies of 7 different arab countries declared war on the country that was just born.
their plan went shit and jews won the war and got more land.
and so we go on to 1967- IDF intelligence gathered information that the surrounding countries (syria, jordan, egypt) are planning to demolish israel. during a short war- israel did occupy more lands. these lands were not palestinian but egyptian, jordenian, and syrian.

1979- israel gives up the entire sinai peninsula- just around 3 times the land that's currently the official country, with a lot of oil wells, in order to get a peace treaty with egypt.

so just showing a map with so called "palestinian lands" is not the whole picture

colonial ownership means nothing in this. the people are the exact same and no one is getting displaced (except very specific situations) whether it be 'owned' by English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, whoever. It was Palestinian land through and through.

Of course the founder of Israel accepted the partition. They were Jewish! I can safely say not ONE Palestinian who owned any of the land before agreed to it. Not one.

The Palestinians were not hated in the region, they had a lot of supporters. So when a people who have done nothing wrong and nothing against the Jews get expedited from their land in a matter of months just so the Jews can have their "Holy Land" which they haven't occupies for ages and ages, of course they're going to declare war against them.

If China invaded the US, you think NATO or any other allied countries would just sit there and let it happen? No.

Although technically this was not an invasion, to the people living there it certainly was. Doesn't mean a thing to the farmer whose house gets destroyed and olive trees burned to the ground whether it's sanctioned by the UN or not. It's all the same in his eyes; the Jews are the oppressors and enemies.

Six-Day war and all that is irrelevant to this. That is just fluff on top. The Israelis should be damned glad they had US support during those campaigns though, or they wouldn't be around in that area any more.

This shit is so blatantly dishonest. Sorry if the narrative doesn't quite work - You forgot to mention that it was a skirmish between Israel and Hamas militants, and of course neglecting that Hamas loves tucking themselves in to civilian areas in hopes of getting an innocent or two picked off. Nothing like a story about some innocent civilians getting killed to rile up your base. Oh, and it was 1 teen. Unfortunate, no doubt, that there is that kind of collateral, but that's what happens when you do the deed from residential areas.

Hamas may be an elected body, but it doesn't change the fact that they are, effectively, terrorist bitches. Lobbing rockets aimlessly day in and day out hoping to 1) take out civilians and 2) get a response that also takes out their citizens is some shameful shit.

do you even know when did this land get the nickname of "palestine"?
it was given by the romans while they occupied this land around the year of 70 B.C. as "the philistines land"- naming the land after the long gone people who used to live there.
philistines were considered to originally come from the area of greece/cyprus, and have absolutely nothing to do with arab people (who came from the arab peninsula) or with Islam (since Muhammad was born about 1600 years after the philistines left that land)

That land was mostly rubbish before Israel was founded. hardly any people lived here, and the land was mostly used as a marine station for colonials around the middle east.
The people who claim to be palestinians are not originally from this land.they used to be "plain" arabs, their ancestors are from the arab peninsula, from jordan, and from egypt.
it's absurd to say they're all from the same place too. Gaza people are originally egyptian and West Bank people are originally from Jordan and that's what their nationalities were before the six day war in 1967..

what they call themselves, or what other people call them, is irrelevant. they could be called Klingon, but it won't change the fact of what's happened to them in the past 60 years. They're still the same people who inhabited that land for hundreds and hundreds of years before.

Saying "oh, well they're not actually Palestinians" is just excuses to justify what has happened. It honestly does not matter whether they are true Palestinians or not. Either way, they got fucked over by UN and Jews and were/are/will continue to be not happy about it.

well, i'm not happy with the fact taxes are fucking me up and having to do a shitload of reserve service even though i gave 4.5 years of my life to military service...
arab israeli citizens get to live in a democracy and get freedom of speech which does not exist in their original countries.
gaza and the west bank infrastructure (electricity, water, roads) were financed and built by israel.. even their police guns were given to them by israel (Oslo treaty)...no matter how much israel tried, including completely removing israeli settlements from gaza strip and giving them a lot of humanitary aid, they just won't reach for peace...

That loss of land is the Palestinians fault. Thats what happens when you lose 3 wars. ANd most of them havent been there for thousands of years. The stupid arabs should have been happy with that first land split, which was fair. Instead of trying to wipe the jews out. Palestinians ARE Arabs and have no connection what so ever with the extinct ancient semi-Phoenician nation mentioned in the Bible as Philistines. The Romans called the land of Israel/Judea after the already extinct nation as a mockery and for political imperial reasons just to weaken the connection of the Jews with their land, and the name Palestine(Palestina) stayed from these times. This is the land of JUDEA where the Jews and Jesus lived.

Fair enough.

I am pretty sure I was told the Hasidic people are supposed to have one kid a year. And that whatever their occupation is they don't do normal jobs and read the Torah a lot.

I'm no expert like I said this is just a contributing factor to the situation astold to me by Jewish friends.

Basically though you agreed that the right wing (those who favor expansion and hard lines with Palestine) are the ones being voted in and that doesn't look like it is changing.

The kid who called me retarded can go fuck himself what a douchebag if he is Jewish considering I mean to be empathetic in my post.

I grew up around Jews but also know some Palestinian people so I feel bad for those on both sides of this mess.

And since British is my first nationality Great Britain deserves a fair amount of blame for the way they handled handing over their colony of Palestine. Obviously the British were the ones who created the Balfour doctrine granting a Jewish homeland in Palestine but they should have gone about it a lot better and those early wars were basically inevitable (more so considering how fucking stupid the Palestinians were to provoke the Israelis.)


Anyways carry on I am no expert I am sure there is plenty of incorrect shit in my post. LIke I said I know Palestinians as well as Jews so I feel for both sides.


And it doesn't look like pro-comprimise poitical parties are coming to power anytime soon in Israel as confirmed by OP.
