Was driving back from my cottage on the highway, and got pulled over for doing 157km/h in a posted 100km/h zone. In Ontario the law states that anything over 50km/h is considered 'stunt driving' and results in an automatic car impound and license suspension. Being that I'm only 17 with my G2, I'm facing a $2000-10000 fine, year license suspension, and a insurance raping.

Has anyone else ever been caught at 50+, if so what is your insurance like right now? Safe to say I'll be walking everywhere from now on.

its so damn easy to run from cops, like way too easy. IF you know the area and can get off the main roads in a hurry.

oh and speed limits suck balls, yes they make sense in cities and neighborhoods, but highways, in a lot of cases shouldnt have them and would be safer if they didnt.

thats cool, i ran from the cops in my car 2 days ago and got away.

I then passed the cop sitting in someones driveway like 10 minutes later and he didnt even pull out.... OWND.

I got my first speeding ticket three weeks ago, I was going 90km/h in a 60km/h zone. Learned my lesson, now I drive so slow..

I don't want my insurance premium to skyrocket. I wouldn't be surprised if OP's insurance doubles lol.

lol. i got pulled over once because the cop thought I was my brother. I inherited his truck when he got a new one and apparently the cops knew it well.

didn't do a 50+ but got a 40 over a few weeks ago, $300 fine, if i was you i would definitly look into poiints or some other traffic ticket defender. Might help you in the long run.

Get a lawyer or traffic specialist to represent you in court. 57 over is an automatic court appearance (in AB) but not really that bad. If you're record is clean it shouldn't be a big deal. They will charge based on how bad your infraction is, in your case probably a grand

got the new gopro mount. wanted to test it out so went for a cruise on the autobahn. max was about 193 kph. i feel more in control going fast here, then going like 80 in the states.

One tip, unless you are going a million miles an hour, don't stay in the left lane that long.

German cops can fine you for that.

i normally don't, but 1.) theres hardly any cops on that stretch. and weaving in and out at that speed is sketch

All you need to do is buy a police scanner. Youll never get caught speeding again.

Not in Europe, Police don't broadcast their signal. And radar detectors can result in 4 figure fines.
(The cops even have radar detector detectors.)
