seriously ? how did tom win ?
LJ had the sickest segment with Pbp and Tom was out with an injury for a big chunk of the season
I personnaly think LJ should've won.

Its freeskier though, they aren't 14. They are like a backcountry all around magazine aren't they?

I think actually the more mainstream people like Tom. The 14 year olds on NS are pretty stoked on LJ these days.

well because tom is better/smoother in most aspects of skiing. LJ's just a lot cooler

Maybe but its freeskier of the year , not freeskier of all time , i agree that tom is a bit better in some aspect but i dont think je's that much better

i really dont understand who could possibly think that Tom was the "freeskier of the year" over LJ.

LJ seriously got robbed, he may have kindof a hucked style, but personally i like the way he skis. He had the all time most technical urban segment, and he murdered the park jumps.

if anyone voted for tom, show yourselves and tell me why u did.

yah this was a bummer. I like Wallisch, but LJ definitely deserved to win that matchup because he murked this past season. I can see how Tom won though just because of the popularity aspect.

LJ's the man and when I look at him he is the epitome of what skiing should be. He seems to have the best time and doesn't get caught up in too much of the bullshit. At least that's what it looks like to me.

It's truely a popularity contest which is why Tom won. don't get me wrong he's a great guy and an awesoem skier but i wish LJ would've won he deserved to win it

they both have different styles, i think that they are both amazing skiers, tom is definetly hot right now, hes a great skier, and yes he was hurt for a large part of the year but whatever

Love both, but Tom doesn't have the great style he had a few years ago.
Tom is sick and can almost do everything, but I feel like I'm a little tired of his
skiing or whatever....

Lj doesn't have such a sick style, but he can have a very smooth style if he wants to, just look at stuck in sweden, or edits from 09, especially his KOS edit. Also he is the most technical skiier out there, and especially on rails. He always surprises me with his tricks and he is such an awesome skiier!

Lj should have won.

Tom has insane skills on skis, theres no arguing that
LJ had the ILLEST segment in pbp - The grande bizarre, wich was insane.
I think LJ should've won "Skier of the year" because he was simply more active and had such an astonishing par witch astounded the crown internationally.

haha , and you have every right to . im just really mad cause LJ doesnt get the respect he deserves. He actually WAS a much more technical, progressive freeskier then Tom this season and his season was much more successful. Im just pissed at kids like you who vote for Tom who was hurt and really did not produce anything out of the ordinary.

I've loved LJ for years but I voted for tom.. Tom Wallisch is the skier that everybody hates to love, but in reality he is the best in the sport. Nobody slays harder then him with more style.

Just because LJ skis on line skis has a horrible style and slayed only ONE gnarly rail in a pretty decent seg does not mean he had a better season than Wallisch.

Just because "omg wallisch is saa yestardayyyy, he doesnt even dress cool and have an abbreviated name anymoreeee like the B&E niggas" does not change the fact that he finished 22 places higher than LJ in AFP rankings, and filmed 4 segments that were all better than LJs one seg in PBP.

i dont even know how to respond to that.
i'll just say this.
It's freeskier of the year, it includes competing segments etc etc.

what did tom do this year ? he was out fot the majority of the competing season and had 4 segments.
out of these 4 i only enjoyed 2.

I think LJ had a way better season overall.
I voted lj and nothing you will say will make me change my mind

You say Lj has terrible style? Watch his part in this edit, or any other from 09. Imo he has the sickest style in Stuck In Sweden, better than Wallisch.

That probably wasn't a good edit to make your point. Tom's part was WAY more steezy (remember, steeze=style+ease). Sure LJ has his own style too, but I'm definitely not into "I-hope-I-don't-die" steeze that he showed there.
