This is all good Im stoked for him and full tilt but its been making me wonder how pros apear able to flip between seemingly wide and narrow boots without impacting their riding?
Its is proper gucci liners? Anyone got an opinion on this?
Not all full tilt's are their narrower 99mm last. The Booters and the slightly stiffer High Fives are both 102mm lasts which isn't too far from the SPKs at 104mm. I'm sure henrik, or any other wide-footed park skier would do just fine in either of those boots coming from an SPK. I've been fitting boots for a long time, and had a lot of customers switch in this exact same scenario. Also, there's tons of work that can be done to make a boot fit, especially if it's a matter of blowing out the shell 2mm.
Yeah I knew somebody would mention the booter. You are probably right I just feel like over the years Ive seen quite a few pros swapping into boots with a completely different type of fit.
I Love Full Tilts only for the way they ride, but I recently was hooked up with this years Seth Pro Model and after 10 days an a couple touring laps my heels have developed nasty calcium deposit-like knobs that are extremely painful. Went through everything to fit the boot too: Heat Mold, Custom Cork Footbeds, and gave em time riding them, but still no luck... So if anybody is in need of some 2012 29.5 Seth Pro Models for 400$ with some extra buckles and the #8 an #10 tongue included... I don't want em' ha
