You must not ski very fast or through trees. Because haulin down the mountain staring into the wind is fucking shitty. Or gettin hit in the face with branches, that also sucks. And doesn't ur face get cold?

well ...I used to ski out in PA and its not like we had huge hills where the wind would bother me .....and I don't get cold very easily ^.^.

how do you normally ski? and where?

I like riding in sunglasses better than goggles, but like a dude above said, trees & wind suck... not to mention getting all tear-blurry from hauling ass...

and the whole point of freeskiing is to be 'weird' anyway, so if you don't like goggles do your thing.

I ski without sunglasses/goggles pretty often, I too hate losing peripheral vision, even if you never use it I just feel weird without it lol (You never know when a sasquatch is going to charge in the PNW). It's probably bad for your eyes though... the snow is insanely reflective and UV damage is going to be higher on the mountain than on a regular sunny day (assuming it is sunny)

Also, I lose a lot of acuity with the majority of lenses in the standard overcast bullshit day.. which is no fun (I probably just need to get higher quality gogs/lenses though)

I HATE ORANGE TINTED GOGGLES. Make me feel claustrophobic for some reason, and almost depressed. Blue on the otherhand makes me feel the complete opposite, it's weird.

dont face plant. you wont be skiing for the rest of the day.  could be worse too goggles have saved my eyes from so much branches, ski poles, female ejaculation, etc...

On nice days, there's no point to goggles aside from better sun protection.

But I get maybe twenty of those a year. The rest of the time, it's foggy, snowing, raining, or I'm wrecking, and happy to have my goggles on.

Not at all! They are uncomfortable and look stupid, although they do protect your eyes very well from snow and the cold... You should always have some sort of eye protection on because the suns rays reflecting off of the snow can do serious damage to your sight.

Sunglasses are what I use.

Took me a while to find my happy lens too.

I never liked googles at all. Certainly not big, wide, flashy ones.

I gave in, faceplants hurt. Wouldn't ski without them now.

i hate goggles. i'll go facemask, balaclava, whatever, but leave the eyes to fend for themselves unless it's REALLY cold. i'm sure i could get used to it but it just fucks up my peripherals and it's really uncomfortable.
