so i think i used to be similar view as you and probably quite a few others on here. i respect the there’s no god view. seemed pretty far fetched and to me, blindly believing a religion is still pretty unobtainable. like i really struggle to believe that the bible was intended to be taken as literal truth and not metaphoric and its hard for me to hear the conviction that a preacher/pastor has saying that jesus rose from the dead.
that being said, it is becoming increasingly harder for me to deny the existence of a higher power. there are many times where things out of my control seemingly have worked out. scenarios where i was quite close to death but by ‘luck’ i had made it through or when things happen in a perfect way it just feels like there was an extra push from something bigger than me. now is that jesus? idk. i tend to think no one knows so they adopt the way they connect best with this higher power aka varying religious/spiritual beliefs.
so idk if there’s a god, multiple gods, a connected consciousness between living beings, an inner power that we harness in desperation, or what. sometimes, i’m convinced its my ancestors (particularly my grandma) lingering spirits that look out for me. idk though
also, the fact that every single civilization from the dawn of time across every continent barring human life has had some sort of spirituality/religion. the native americans, the middle east, the indigenous tribes of australia, etc. so to me, its borderline arrogant to think that there is no spiritual/religious powers with all these different and unconnected humans have each had some form of it.
no math or science or book will ever truly explain it because those were things we created and i think the higher power is not something we can easily perceive. kinda how if there was someone who was born blind. they lack the inability to know what its like to see. they can still live a life but asking them to prove there is colors will be extremely hard for them to do. similarly there are things beyond our senses that we can analytically explain. there has to be it would be arrogant to believe anything has the capability to observe everything so for us to require everything has a clear meaning and definition otherwise its not real is a naive take.
these are just my personal views and yhey’ll probably change too lol. i dont think that jesus is better than budha nor the nordic gods. i think those are how a particular group of people tried to explain the unknown.
je_t.aime_canardSo, if your kind of fun is getting high on fent on the weekend, that’s cool. But we don’t do that over here. We’re focused on God, goals, and growth.

I have never felt like something had to happen because of higher power. Everything in my life has been combination consequences of my own actions, actions of others and coincidence. The coincidence part is depending on the situation either actually my subconsciousness acting or completely out of my hands. When it is actually coincidence it doesn't feel like something is controlling it. Coincidence is just coincidence.
Religous/spirit/mythology stuff in the past tried to explain things that were replaced with scientific theories. I believe there are a lot more to find with science, Answers to problems that are still explained by beliefs.
There are things that science can't answer. That is where philosophy comes into play. Everybody should explore philosophy more. I think most would be happier if they looked there instead of magic books.
Your definition of god makes somewhat sence if it exists. You can define what it isn't in many ways including "simply' logic but you can't really define what it is.
My hatred towards religion and gods comes from childhood and the fact that I like to be in control of my things. Something more powerful takes the control out of my life. I don't see the point in living if I don't have free will and can't actually control my life. There are more reasons but they take it beyond personal beliefs or just hostile observations of religious people so I won't list them.

i think the closest that science has gotten to a god is the quantum physics studies where the act of observation changes the outcome. wether thats jesus, some sort of influence we harness from within, my grandma, or whatever else, i think thats a strong case for something external influencing the outcome in a similar manner to spiritual/religious influence. also the fact that singing together aligns peoples heart rates and then creates an almost euphoric feeling and connection has been something studied as well. thats why concerts create crazy atmospheres. also why i think a lot of religion incorporates group singing.
anyway, you seem closed off to exploring that there is even a possibility of religion. i guess youre just too smart compared to the billions of people for thousands of years in ever civilization ever that believed in a higher power. jk but similar to how you say people should explore philosophy more, you could stand to gain from an open mind towards what spirituality has to offer. not saying you should become mormon and go on mission trips or anything but just be curious and have an open mind to exploring things.
here’s a 15 min video my buddy sent me. now i dont fancy when people have such conviction in their ideas but interesting take none the less. more about a shared consciousness than a god.

Obviously I'm smarter than everyone which is the reason why I'm just cool chill guy in the north and not some mastermind creating mass control devices.
No I'm not smarter than most people in the past. But the thing I have that they didn't is access to unlimited amount of knowledge. Just imagine what we can explain with science in 2225.
Maybe nature is my god. That is where my soul rests. I'm like bear looking at beautiful landscapes
je_t.aime_canardBro let’s go out this weekend, there’s a crazy event happening. There’ll be a ton of chicks. Let’s just go have fun and let go a little.
Yeah… that ain’t my kind of fun.
You know what’s fun for me? Waking up early, hitting the gym, spending time with my creator, building the life I desire, and more importantly, becoming a better version of myself every damn day. So, if your kind of fun is getting shitfaced on the weekend, that’s cool. But we don’t do that over here. We’re focused on God, goals, and growth.
BallClapperI miss anonymous shitposting on ns. Since people know who I am I'm embarrassed to say goofy shit. Or if I vent they think I'm a weirdo. 🫢
I used to post the wildest, stupidest shit in like 2014-2020. Then ended up meeting a lot of people on here and working at Windells. It made me change how I posted 😂 I also grew up a lot so there’s that too lmao
So maybe you're familiar with the manic pixie dream girl trope. Maybe you aren't. Anyway i was tripping balls on my birthday tonight and met one. Side quest vibes. Was amazing cared about me, filled my pockets witb snacks and fed me juice and apples.
Idkif my roommates and neighbors weren't there nobody would have believed me
Welcome to je t’aime canard’s first officially broadcast airport lounge challenge, in the next two hours he will be attempting to eat this place barren and drink this place dry, the lounge (which he snuck into) stands no chance

Good luck! Ive tried to do the same but never seemed to succeed.
Sidenote-Lounges are the way to go if you travel a bit.
If you, if you could return
Don't let it burn
Don't let it fade
I'm sure I'm not being rude
But it's just your attitude
It's tearing me apart
It's ruining every day
I swore, I swore I would be true
And honey so did you
So why were you holding her hand?
Is that the way we stand?
Were you lying all the time?
Was it just a game to you?
But I'm in so deep
You know I'm such a fool for you
You got me wrapped around your finger
Do you have to let it linger?
Do you have to, do you have to, do you have to let it linger?
Oh, I thought the world of you
I thought nothing could go wrong
But I was wrong, I was wrong
If you, if you could get by
Trying not to lie
Things wouldn't be so confused
And I wouldn't feel so used
But you always really knew
I just want to be with you
And I'm in so deep
You know I'm such a fool for you
You got me wrapped around your finger
Do you have to let it linger?
Do you have to, do you have to, do you have to let it linger?

I guess it's good to know there's hope for the rest of us.
I tripped major balls last night and per usual, my mind went to spiders.....but in a good way. Usually at higher doses, I see skulls on everything so this was unexpected. Closed my eyes and all I could see were spiral patterns of tarantula legs connected by a strand of web. Imagine a blooming onion, but made of upside down spider legs. Spent the next hour looking at spiders on Instagram ☠️
What was really odd is that the spiders on Instagram were interesting, super cool looking, or funny af....but ai generated fake spider shit people made for clickbait was actually terrifying. It's like the ai generated the video evoking human emotions of fear. So weird.
I tried to use AI to recreate what I was seeing but no success. Still got a cool image out of it.
Guitar buddy I met at the Gorge for phish years ago hit me up. We've kept in touch but he came through mammoth. Tacos and geetar action. Was cool cause im shy about my music but opened up. He was kinda halting on recording but did a pivot with my vibe and hearing my songs. Told him he could plsy on a track or two. He's solid lead player but doesn't write many songs.
Anyway was cool to have a good night with old friends eating tacos and trading songs. I love those connections. Last night got a little weird but tonight was the perfect mix of good food, drinks, and good friends.
Skipped a poker night and wasn't even bummed. PS watching poker now so its def my jam lol.
Idk music is so personal. It's cool to connect and reconnect with other musicians
This trip was not exactly succesful. Riksgränsen has betrayed me. It was raining one day before we came, then everything froze. 0 new snow during the week. Every ski day was half a day. No touring :(
At least today I got to ski something little bit steeper with softish snow. Bad week up here is better than good week at home tho. I hope the 2nd trip will be better.
Do you have arachnophobia? just asking because I do and have avoided this during my younger year tripping.
