Biggest crime in film history: changing the title of Stufio Ghibli’s “How Do You Live?” to “The Boy and The Heron” for US release.
“How Do You Live?” Is a Japanese world war 2 era novel that questions what it means to truly live the human experience, and since this film might be Miyazaki’s last before he dies, it would have been such a beautiful film title to end on. But some US producer looked at it and went “it’s about a boy and a bird!” And changed the title- ffs.
Anyone else pumped though? Releases in the US December 7th. Can’t wait to see it.

I show up and everyone is smoking and drinking and getting faded and then ordering way too much door dash and sittin in their asses. I can sit on my ass and watch TV at home. And then they tell me like bro somethings off with you you seem out of it and I’m like dude it’s cuz I’m sober sitting at ur house doing nothing. I miss the days of doing shit and spending quality time with my friends. And they miss having me around getting fucked up bc I’m the only person in the group that’s actually fun and they just leech off that
One of my reasons for quitting drinking was that I realized that it can encourage people to do exactly what you’re describing, just sit around and do absolutely nothing productive. If you’re drunk it feels like you are having an EPIC time. My advice is to go out and do badass outdoors shit, invite your friends but if they can’t keep up or they’re too hung over then fuck ‘em, it sounds like they are holding you back. Or go on some dates, dating is a lot easier when you aren’t a drunken horror show or baked out of your mind

i show up to morning practice at 6:00 after being out till 2:00am and i’m still functioning. people just don’t know how to indulge in acceptable amounts. if ur partying or getting hi to the point u can’t function or that is the function somethings wrong

That’s called being young buddy, I could do shit like that no problem from age 17 to like 22 and then there was a steep drop off with rapidly worsening hangovers. Enjoy it while it lasts!

so blessed my dad taught me to roll a sea kayak when i was 8. Took so many try to learn to snap the hips and use my paddle as much as i could. Boat was heavy as fuck for little me as well. But it made sea kayaking in the great lakes possible and very fun

Yeah I’m stoked. I rewatch Miyazaki movies frequently and I always find something new to appreciate on each watch. All of his films are bangers

Young_pattyHell yeah, which one is your favorite? I’ve been watching them w my gf to get ready for the new release. Recently watched “Nausica” and I think it’s one of his more underrated movies. Spirited away is my all time favorite though, everything from the story, to the art, to the character design, is just perfect.
Lol, he’s said that for the past 3 or so movies. I don’t doubt he’ll start another one, but the dude is old- idk if he’ll make it to the end of the next one.
I’m not sure which one is my favourite, I think probably Spirited Away and Mononoke but I enjoy all of his films. I think Porco Rosso is my pick for most underrated. I love the boxing scene on the water and the visuals of the ocean and islands in that movie.

I've always been interested to have a season on them. I forget who used to ride them (Meeks maybe?) and they looked like a lot of fun to just jib around on.

i want a detailed essay on why its better because i have had differing experiences. i fuckin loved the town of pc and skiing the cottonwoods. but my impression of slc was that is was basically a larger version of colorado springs with excessive smog. heavy religious influence and strip malls with a bunch of chains. maybe i was just in the wrong parts as i was just briefly passing stopping by in route to ski.

my sister and my mom havent ever gotten along. my mom is dying slowly, painfully but surely. so i told my sister she can stay angry and have their relationship end that way or put differences aside for the limited time left. im stoked on how my sister showed up this weekend ❤️
