zuesSaw snoopdog method man and redman in Providence RI in 2009. Lit up a joint and the fire marshal was standing next to me and grabbed it. After another two songs the entire venue was smoking and he left so i lit my second.
r00kieThe 4l60e transmissions found in gm trucks are known for eventually doing that. How miles was your avalanche at when it went?
No.Quarter130k
r00kieSeems a little immature. That transmission is extremely common though. Its a bit more risky but maybe talk to an independant shop. I bet they could get well under that $4000 quote. I know my local trans shop keeps about a dozen of those transmissions around just cause they are that common and do a bunch of them.
No.QuarterYeah, I'm waiting to hear back from an independent transmission shop. I'm kinda at a point where I don't know if I should cut my losses or not and get a different vehicle because I really don't like the Avalanche much at all.
Charlie_KellySaw Meth, Red, and B-Real in Boston (House of Blues) in 2012 or 2013. One of my favorite shows of all time.
r00kieThats tough dilemma for sure. Keep us posted on how it plays out.
DeebieSkeebiesNice dude. what comps are you eyeing this season? our first day of training for our skiers is like decemeber 12th rain snow or shine lol.

DilldoesDurangoLol my dad keeps two 4L60s in his garage at all times. Just replaced my little brothers this summer. OP would probably be better off in the long run swapping to the 80e even with the added cost.

No.QuarterIf I had a garage and tools to replace it on my own you can bet I would do that, but trying to swap a transmission on an uneven gravel driveway in the winter sounds fucking horrible. Definitely not looking to own the avalanche as a long term vehicle.
safarisamWinter maintenance sucks. I know there's going to be days where I'll have to ask my roommates to mover their cars out of the garage so I can work on the truck or other stuff. It's my first time since high school I'll have a functional garage to work in. Vibes. Lemme know if you need a place to get shit done, I'm in Belgrade now but you're welcome.
No.QuarterThanks for the offer, that's very kind.
danbrownway easier said than done but this truck sounds like a money pit, i'd part ways before you dump any more into it and then have something come up a month down the road and you're in the same spot. maybe fix what you can to make it easier to sell but either way it doesn't sound like it's worth much to you, or anyone else who doesn't have the full means to do their own in-depth repairs
No.QuarterYeah, I wouldn't be surprised if I fix the transmission and another $1000+ repair comes up when it gets even colder in the winter. I'm just trying to get it off my hands and find something smaller and more reliable, and maybe simpler to work on. I keep thinking I want an older Tacoma, but Jesus christ the used prices are ridiculous, maybe a Ford Ranger would be an option as well.

Profahoben_212Huh?? Doob tube? Ziplock in chest pocket? Anything smaller than a 32 oz massive water bottle? Whys it gotta be airtight
Although to be fair back in the day I used to throw a baggie in a Gatorade bottle to keep it smell proof from my parents.
danbrownyeah unfortunately those are going to be preposterously expensive, and even with their reliability it still sucks putting up like 10k for something with that many miles. I bought my 4runner on the east coast for 4-5k cheaper than they were listed in utah. I could probably sell it right now with 40k more miles than when I bought it for what I paid 3.5 years ago. shit's ridiculous out here

DayManAre there any decent local ski shops in Denver to get skis mounted at?

ColoradoDogfartMake the drive to slopestyle. Its worth it not to have some bum fuck up your sticks
DayManI was considering that but would rather not make the drive if I don't absolutely have to, I've been getting slammed with work recently and don't have a ton of free time. I feel like there has to be some sort of decent option in the city right? I'm sure there's more bad than good though

DeebieSkeebieshas anyone else found bear tracks in their yard and if so, do you let the DNR or Fish and Game department know? just want the big feller to be taken somewhere safe into the woods.

cyphersi never call them, at least in my area they're more likely to get shot than relocated
Incelan old woman's saggy breasts
CrunnchyVanManit looks fucking sick if you put stickers on it
DilldoesDurangoThis nice family lived in my backyard for about 3 days. Made walking to my car super fun. I never call as I don't want to deal with the hassle.
