Why To Spliff

     So it just turned 420, 1am in the morning.  Me and my buddy just hot boxed his car and on the way to taco bell for the munchies.  Pull in to the taco bell. WOOP WOOP. "FACCCKKKKKK" Flashing lights in the rear view window.  "Spray that axe!!!" 
     So the cop comes up to the window (we are a mess) took 10 min to get him the insurance and registration and all that.  Talk to the cop for a couple minutes, says it smelled like marijuana, we said we were just smoking cigarettes. 
     Then makes the driver get out the car and im just sitting in there alone and its really scary, and there is a cop pointing his flashlight at me from a couple feet away.  Then they make me get out, and frisk me.  They then proceed to search the car.  They find empty bottle of bacardi in the back seat, a clipped blunt, and in the trunk a mikes hard.
      All this time me and my friend are standing outside next to another cop, it starts lightly snowing, and he is being a dbag to us and asking us why we are shaking and shit like that.  He was also searching our shoes and socks.
     The officer comes up to me and says whos blunt is this, i say thats not a blunt.  He says "well it sure does look like a blunt", i tell him to check and see if its a blunt.  (Since it was 2/3 smoked i knew it would just smell like tobacco and all the bud would be all burnt and look brown/black).  He takes it to his car.
     We are then told to sit in the car.  And 5 minutes later the officer comes up to the drivers side and gives my friend his ticket.  $260 fine for possession of alcohol as a minor, and for running a flashing red light.
     Now that $260 fine sounds pretty bad, but we could have gotten fucked on so much harder.  No marijuana charges!  Also there was a bowl in the trunk of his car that he didnt find, along with my friends K2 and Salvia (i have no part of that).  We then feast at the shitty quality of TBell.  So the lesson of the story here is to stop at flashing red lights, even at 1am in the morning.

you and your friend are dumb for letting them search you. they can stop you for the violation, make you get out and frisk you for safety at most. after that you can tell them to stop and just ask for your ticket

if they do any more without your consent or arresting you, its illegal. and even detaining you too long can constitute as an arrest, which with no probable cause is also illegal

You spliff because it:

1) Conserves weed
2) Burns weed more evenly
3) Is Euro....and thus, different
5) Provides a more even, uplifiting high (imo)
6) Lets you roll, and smoke more frequently
7) Helps you learn to roll coned out back rolled L's

they cant even force you to get out of the car

the only way they can search your car is with a warrant which they did not have, your consent which is probably what happened or if the saw illegal substances from plain view, not by smell, so you could of just fucked yourselves

That depends on the state.

Salvia is illegal in some states, whilst legal in others. I'm not sure about K2 though.

^yeah, k2 is illegal in a lot of states now too. jwh-018 was banned right? jwh-free legal herbs are appearing, anyone know what's in those? just curious because i cant find anything on it.

theres alot of kids posting on here who are gonna end up on cops screaming "i know my rights, you cant search me, you cant search me!" while getting dragged out of their car.

If a cop wants in your car, he/she will find a legal way in...dont doubt it. The more you waste an officers time and make his/her job harder the harder they are gonna be on you. You have to read the situation, dont just blindly refuse searches and talk about your rights, or blindly accept searches.

The best advice is to be courteous, but to exert your rights at the same time. And keep in mind the officer cannot legally search your trunk unless you are being arrested. ALWAYS KEEP YOUR STUFF IN THE TRUNK.

always keep it in the trunk, but they can absolutely search your trunk if a dog alerts to it, or "a pungent smell of _____" was emanating from it.

trunk is just good because the officer cant see in it, and it being compartmentalized reduces the smell.

too many kids get too overzealous exerting their rights.

Yeah, i guess i didn't think about the fact that if a dog hits directly on the trunk they're going to search it. Is it just that they have to have a separate probable cause for the trunk? Or does the dog hitting on any spot in the car give them the right to search the entirety?

I know my rights, 4th amendment. but since the officer stated it smelled like marijuana that was his probable cause, it was my friends mikes hard, but they are delicious

i personally think that its dumb to be smoking a blunt on the way to taco bell at 1 AM on 4/20. and then to coast a red light on top of that, your just asking for it. Anyone knows that if your out that late on a weeknight the only other cars you will see on the road are cops. smoke on back roads if you have to smoke on the road

yeah jwh-018 was recently banned in my state. It's quickly being outlawed in a lot of states.

Isn't it technically bonzai tree food or something?

Anyways, most of the synthetic stuff is cool because it's legal and whatnot but I've heard it gives you nasty headaches.

all you guys who think getting searched is illegal are wrong. under the patriot act, cops can pretty much search you as long as they feel there is a good reason you should be searched. and it's pretty much their discretion as to what is probable cause or not.

uhhhhhh, the patriot act was repealed in 2009...but everything else you said is correct. If the cops want in your car, they WILL find a legal way in...dont doubt it.

2. When its a cop talking to you, and you know you did something wrong its gonna be even harder to try the rights card

3. Why the hell are you talking about dogs.. they clearly didn't have dogs, and usually will not

that can be avoided by knowing that cops can do several things automatically when it comes to traffic stops. one of which is order you in or out of your car with which you must comply (you agree to this in obtaining your driver's license)

but never consent to a search. ever. officers laugh all the time about people who consent to searches when they have some sort of contraband that the officer otherwise could have done nothing about.

matter of fact, the rule (belton bright line rule) that used to allow an officer to search the passenger compartment of your vehicle (meaning they cant search the trunk) incident to arrest has been further restricted to where a search can now only take place in order to preserve evidence or stop a threat posed to involved parties.

asserting the rights granted by the constitution is not making an officers job harder

most cops where i am from dont give a fuck if you have weed, if you are honest about it they usually just confiscate it and send you on your way. i know a 15 year old who got caught with a bunch of weed, a beer and a pipe. the cop did not even take it, just told him to go home
