Shaun whites pass clipped

yesterday at breck i was riding in the gondola with this random dude and his girlfriend.  he started telling her this story and i just sat and listened.  He said shaun white was riding at keystone i think and cut everyone in line and just hopped in a gondola and didnt let anybody else in.  the lifty stopped the lift and called him out saying he couldnt do that.  he flipped out and was yelling at her saying stuff like "fuck you bitch, dont you know who the fuck i am? nobody treats me this way" then she called the ski patrol manager and he asked shaun how he got a pass.  he said the GM gave him a free 10 day pass then the patrol clipped his pass and said come back tomorrow and buy your own pass. owned.

like i said this was just some random guy talking to his girl so it obviously could be bullshit.  I was just wondering if anybody else heard about this or not.  It seems kind of retarded that keystone would throw the most widely recognized snowboarder out of their resort but then again who knows.  maybe they wanted to send a message, maybe this dude just wanted to get laid with a dumb story about shaun white.

hahaha, dude i don't know how he acts personally and i don't judge someone off of random stories that very from, he was cool to he was a dick. that's tight if you believe in being a judgmental jackass, but just because he hot laps with his friends (which is what a lot of us do out here) and you can't understand that, it's no reason to hate someone that doesn't want to wait for everyone else to get the balls to drop in. there's a difference between flowing through the park and snaking someone.

That is almost exactly what I said, but he was snaking people. People were dropping, then he cut them off, and it didn't happen other than the first three set because people always look up. And what the hell is "out here" because almost everyone I see is respectful and if they are going through the park without stopping, will at least slow down to make sure no one else is dropping. I'm saying from what I saw of him, he's a douche. He may have changed, but I was giving the reason I personally don't respect him to the kid I first quoted.

Last season in NZ Shaun didnt even bother getting a lift pass from the ticket desk.

He just rolled up to the lifts and expected the liftys not to care and suck his dick while he gets on the chair.

My buddy asked to scan his ticket (just to see what happened) and Shaun went crazy at him "DUDE IM SHAUN WHITE! etc etc". Ski patrol had to come and they made him go buy a ticket.

True story, the OPs story doesnt surprise me at all.

I was at keystone the last couple days and didn't hear anything about it.
But if it's true then he deserved it because cutting people and being an ass makes him an egotistical bitch, so what you are a superstar, you are human too, you can wait in line like the rest of us.

I had to deal with Shaun for a month last year at Woodward and he was so mean to everyone. Never wanted to wear a helmet and when my boss asked he would throw his skateboard and/or helmet at him. He would take pics with some kids and completely blow off other kids. He had temper tantrums like a little kid.

This could totally be true. Vail permanently kicked out Shane McConkey for doing a naked lap... It doesn't matter who you are. Gotta respect and follow the rules.

everyone calling bullshit is wrong. I dont know many details, and this was actually like a month ago, but the OP is right, Shaun White did get his ticket/pass clipped at Keystone, i know the patroller and from the sounds of it, Shaun White was being a dick.

i have had personal interaction with him as have some of my friends from when he came to our local hill during the olympics last year. hes a douchebag. do you actually think almost every person in this thread would call him a douchebag just cause? no, theres a reason behind it.

Except Shane was awesome. I guarantee people were laughing their asses off as they saw him ripping down the mountain, full monty. He did that because he loved skiing and having stupid amounts of fun.

At the US open last year my friend yale sprayed Shaun on his way down the mountain. Yale used to ride for Burton and has gone on plenty of trips and meetings and what not with Shaun before so they kind of know each other and even though Yale hates Shaun shaun doesn't know this and figured Shaun would take it as a joke.. Instead Shaun called him in amd tried to have Yale thrown out of the contest.. He was not successful and there was an awkward moment in the riders tent where everyone realized what a douchebag he was

So from what i have seen in this thread is basically everyone bashing shaun white because he supposedly cut a line at a mountain. And our only source is some kid who overheard someone on the lift talking...sounds kinda dumb to me.

Ohh and to those who say they wouldn't do it if they had the power to i guarantee they would if they were good enough to.

I personally HATE Shaun with a passion, he is the quintessential example of what every skier and snowboarder should aspire to not be. Skiing is about being with friends, family and enjoying each others company while making memories on the slopes. A very pure concept which is why the skiing community is so close.
I have a friend that was part of the maid service at Keystone. She said before the X Games a few years back Shaun came to stay in the hotel with no reservation and no notice. He demanded to have the presidential suite which takes months to reserve, being shaun the management pulled some strings and got him the room he wanted. He boarded about 2 hours of the day, then hit the bars. At around 5 in the evening he went to a couple local places and got so dunk he got asked to leave, SO what does he do? brings the party with him.... He calls room service and orders all the champagne they had.
The next morning when my friend went to clean the room, she found parts of the drywall ceiling falling down. Apparently they had a champagne fight and were spraying it around the room so much so that the ceiling started to fall. He was put on "probation" and asked to not come back for a whole season, on top of paying for the damages.

Thats why i just cant stand him. Why cant he be a good role model that kids of this generation struggle to find.
