an edit my snowboarding friends and i made.

their park is pretty cool, lots of fun jibs and a good jump line.

the rest of the mountain is pretty fun too, lots of cool tree skiing, barley any steep stuff though.

Their park was pretty good when I was there like 3 years ago, but why would you go on a ski trip to ski park?  Go far away to ski the deep stuff.  Big White sucks though, most of their terrain is the most mild shit I've ever encountered.  Hit up Silverstar instead.

another mountain with some sick steep runs is the mountain i ski at, Apex Mountain Resort, lots of steep stuff and its really fun.

Word, I'd never heard of Apex but I remember being at BW thinking "damn I wish I was at SS,"
Seems there are better mountains in the area that you could ski even if you are staying at BW.

There's really no point in staying at Biggie if you're gonna ski other places, because the drive up to BW from Kelowna is pretty long. Sun Peaks is awesome as well, in Kamloops.

the drive from kelowna to big white is about an hour which isnt too terrible. but if you are going to ski other places, get a place in kelowna. SS is about an hour away from kelowna.

An hour is brutal when you drive up to the mountain, for some reason don't ski the mountain you've already driven to, drive back down, go to a different mountain, waste a fuckload more time, then drive all the way back up. Why not just stay where you wanna ski..?

well i think an hour going up to biggy goes by faster than an hour going down 97. probably the stoke of being going up there and skiing all day.

if you are alone or with a few friends a better idea would be to start at like revy, stay 1 night, ski the next day. finish skiing, drive to sun peaks, stay the night. ski the next day. finish skiing drive to SS stay the night. so on and so on. do that all the till like apex or whatever the last resort is in the okanagan.

Of course, but the OP said he was going to BW, assuming he's buying day tickets he could at least get a few days or a day at the other places.  I always remember the drive from Kelowna to BW as long as fuck and always at night when I'm really hungry, ahhh childhood memories.

Big White is a great resort. Their park right now is pretty stellar for early season (Already got a nice 30ft jump lane) and in January it is usually in full swing. SS has a pretty dope park too but the nice thing about Big White's park is that it is lift accessed which saves a lot of time. And the drive is only 45mins usually, but of course depends on the weather, driver, ect. Apex is a fun resort but unless you can get into the Airsite there is not much point if u are wanting to ski park. Big White is just an all around fun mountain :)
