Snacks on the charilift

so whats your favorite snack to eat on the way up? i like fruit to go coz they're quick and easy to open then i just shove it in my mouth

Usually just PC granola bars. But I don't often eat on the lift, its only like a 4 minute ride to the top of my like 500 ft hill.....

Not to sound like a dickhead, but obvs i'm from Manitoba, and i'm clearly 5% gaper, and I've never been out west. How long does it take a guy to go from the base of the mountain to the peak on a set of chairlifts?

10-15 minutes at Sunshine and Lake Louise. As for snacks, I love beef jerky, candy bags, chocolate bars, energy drinks, donuts, and other copious amounts of candy.

Oh man, thats so gnar! How long, if you go to from peak to base, does it take to ski down. Here its about a 3 minute chairlift ride up, and if you're "Charging" hard (which is a lax pace in the mountains likley) its about 1 minute....... If you straightlined it, easily under 45 seconds, but this all depends on the run.

Beef jerky definatley sounds like a good idea.

My uncle is actually sports nutritionist, and if you're interested he had some great tips on snaks.

I always had the problem that right after lunch I would get super tired. Hard to get the momentum back up to go throw down further.

This has something to do with your blood sugar crashing... and it is really easy to smooth out with some mid-morning protien.

So if you carry like a big ol' hunk of cheese or some beef jerkey or something like that, and then eat it right in between breakfast and lunch, you'll have way more energy after lunch.

That, or just drink a shitload of RedBull.

I ski in Flagstaff, AZ and its about 15 minutes up the longest lift (we have 4 lifts) and its about a 10 minute ride down for a grandma and about 2.5 minutes for a speed demon
