Pain thresholds?

been thinking about this for a while, before i started skiing i was a complete pussy with injuries but since then i seem to have been able to cope with injuries better, walking home with a broken leg as an example

so my question is, does obtaining an injury increase your pain threshold?

Not for me, but i've always had a high pain threshold.

When I was 8, I was running in Morrocco on cobble stones and twisted my ankle so badly that it tore all the ligaments cracked a bone in my foot and tore bone away from the growth plate. I walked on it 2 days later then skied on it for two weeks before I got home and got it checked.
I think it's more of a born thing then a aquired skill, however getting injuries help as you learnt tolerate more pain than the average person.

my pain tolerance is over 9000.


but in reality im sure mine is above average, i actually get frustrated with people alot because they'll complain about some small thing which would barley bother me. for example yesterday was my first ski day this season and i was trying to grab 3 of a small kicker and fucked up my landing slammed hard and bounced like 10 feet, knocked the wind out of me and made me think i bruised a few ribs. people were freaking out around me and im like "lol im k". Also i swim/dive in the winter and during practices for diving not once has a back/belly flop hurt enough to make me sit down, and all the other kids are like "OHHHHHH DUDDDEEEEE YOU AIGHT???"

Ah I forgot "three"> (heart shape) cuts everything off after. Anyways, yeah... girls used to have "heart" JTT written all over there binders in like 6th-7th grade.
