Character Customization

So, not only can you pick the general look of your character based on your first perk selection, you will also be able to buy shit to alter his appearance. One of the things I can confirm is the Face Paint option. There are 21 different choices that can be purchased, with the top thirteen being $500. They are the following:

Contracts - They look to be the replacement for challenges now. Contracts help you earn more CoD money throughout the game, but they do expire within a certain time-frame and in order to complete them in the future, it looks like you will have to buy them back.

slight of hand pro is pretty easy to get and I unlocked it without trying to complete the challenges. The other perks seem to be more specific, ninja might take me a while.

Actually no, I have a open NAT which makes it all the more weird...because in COD4 and MW2 we have never had problems making parties even for all 9 of us in ground war.


When I run connection test....i get no warning about my live connection it just says "Xbox live is up and running" I assume thats open NAT because when it has been moderate it has a little triangle with a ! in the middle.

nice I'll have to check the SoH ones....I've been working on ghost pro but normally I don't like wasting time shooting down helicopters and such...but i'm doing it anyways ha.

I'd say make sure what ever you use to connect through....if its just a router, or using you laptop as a wireless connection and then going through the router is to make sure you have your firewalls disabled.

i bought the game yesterday at 12 30 am. i played 18 hours yesterday and another 4 so far today. (im on a break)(i had to take a poop) and i can say i honestly enjoy it. people have to remember that this is not mw1 or mw2. its a completely different game. it actually takes skill to kill people. im rocking the mp5k with rapid fire and its awsome. i only wish that warlord would allow me to put extended mags on it as well. happy fighting everyone. add me up. p.s. level 37 claim

don't listen to these guys. the game is sick and there's a ton to do. some people will just complain nonstop cause it's not as easy as noob warfare 2 and people dont die just cause you looked at them (no hate, i love mw2). not saying you have to get it but dont take people's word for it, CODs fanboys make this shit as polarized as our political system. look how many people even just in this thread just WANT to dislike this game

just saying. try it out anyone who's interested, it's very fun (plus 2 person online? awwww yeah. not all of us only want to see our friends on the internets)

Love this game. Wager matches are so much fun. I think my favorite part of the entire game is the Sticks and Stones wager match. Its so funny and intense. The best part is that you get sent to the bottom of the leader board if someone throws a tomahawk at you so there is a very high tension.

Same here, stick and stones is so fun! the best part of the game. It just sucks you can't level up from playing wager matches though.

I'm really disappointed on how Treyarch made it completely impossible to quickscope. I was expecting it to be similar to cod4 but now the snipers are useless right now. If Treyarch wants us to use the snipers "the way they are supposed to be used" then give us some bigger maps and a better spawn system. Quickscoping was never cheap and they should've never patched it.

It's good that the guns take longer to kill then mw2 and actually have some recoil.

you can use rapid fire and extended mags? I'm pretty sure i have with the 74u before. I just got to level 33 but have a test tomorrow and hw i have to do :(

i dont dislike it because it's hard. i find it very easy actually, it just pisses me off how underpowered and unequal the guns are. in mw2 every gun had a flaw that made it relatively equal with the other guns (aside from the f2000, idk why anyone would use that) but in black ops a good gun is an unfair advantage. that defeats the point of it being a game that takes 'more skill' than mw2

idk, of course it's growing on me, but i still find it a bit silly. and it lags a lot but i cant get mad about that

The chopper gunner on the map Firing Range is fucking UNSTOPPABLE.  Some dude on the other team got one early in the match and ended up getting 38 kills before his first death.

If it wasn't stated somewhere in this thread, you get all the zombie levels by beating the campaign or go to the main screen for the zombie level and hit R2 and L2 a lot and you will stand up. Go find a thing that says computer and type "3arc unlock" (space between the two) and it will unlock the other two. One being a president one.

i personally did not like this game much at all. i played it a friends house a few times. the multiplayer seems pretty bad, graphics are like a cartoon, and even the zombies mode isnt as good as the original zombies

i woulndt buy it.

Campaign is sick as hell. Good cut scenes and good game play. The storyline is alright, it can be kinda confusing from all the different vantage points.

But the online SUCKS!!!!! Still missing Cod4

I love every part of this game, except for where the shotguns are primary weapons. it sucks because i want to use a fucking shotgun, but cant because they only go ten feet and you cant have a machine gun along with it to kill people from long range

there is a solution. the very last pistol you unlock after the python, shits got full auto son. its the only thing ive used for a secondary besides fucking around with the ballistics knife. oh yeah, they must have taken out my rapid fire/extended mags combo because i cant use it any more. i level 43 right now. im going to prestige before the morning comes

Wager match honestly scares me because I am not that great at video games (just play them to have fun) and I get worried I will lose a bunch of credits to buy stuff. I hate gambling but it seems like the greatest and easiest way to get creds to upgrade stuff. : (

it's frustrating until level 14 when you unlock the famas, then it gets easy like it is for everyone else. the m16 is too slow and the mp5 is not powerful enough close quarters so every game i was stuck in limbo. i also haven't played a good sniper map yet. it'd actually be kinda cool if the game didn't have huge maps like wasteland that are just sniper camper fests

I have to say I'm actually liking this game less the more I play. The weapons all blow. Snipers are useless and you can't quick scope, shot guns are useless, LMGs have been never fun, the secondary weapons are all lame. Worst of all are the assault rifles, they all seem like carbon copies of each other with different sights.

i like most of the aspects of the game except for the guns. i'm not impressed. there's a level of underpowered guns and then there's a clump of guns that are all the same that everyone uses so it becomes a game of who sees who first
