REBIRTH! I had an old bigass bomber/carver that I made when I was like 12, and I never use it. The other day I decided to take it on as a project and the result is the 23" Dark Knight, or whatever other stupid name I can come up with on the spot, cut down to size, and completely murdered.

homemade, 5 layers of baltic birch, 40 inches long, 9.5" wide at widest, very mild concave, recently added crushed glass to the top as grip. not those trucks or wheels though.

and my bustin spliff, paris 150's with two soft ones for ultimate pedestrian dodging at school.

apparently i don't have a picture of the spliff.

in the midst of building a speedboard for downhill. will have plenty of time to complete it due to an upcoming surgery so it'll be done before i get back to school. not that i'l be able to use it.

your wheels cutouts should be closer to the center of the deck. you have to think of where the wheels will be when you turn versus just putting them where the axel of the truck is. cause if they contact the board, it's not going to be there. thats a few layers of wood pressed together right? not just a slab of wood cut to shape?

flex 2 vanguard- randal 180's and sector 9 GOS wheels

homemade mini- 6 ply birch with 8oz. glass, slight camber and concave
mounted with randal 150's and split duro 80/83 abec 11 zig zags

vintage jay adams z flex- OG gullwings and OG blue kryptonics

broken homemade mini

board in progress- maple + mahogany vlam core topped with 4 ply birch, concave and camber. +/- 45 degree torsional reinforcement on the nose and tail then one layer of 8oz. covering the whole thing. probably gonna make it a drop through.

i love this board. i use it for everything, and its great. i just recently learned to do a standup slide, its fun as shit. im sure if i put different wheels on it, it would slide like butter.

BC Moray Boss flex + Paris 180s + Purple stims (83a) + Bones super reds. Got it last weekend, I've ridden it everyday and it is amazing. I'd HIGHLY recommend it. I'm 180 pounds and it carves perfectly, and hopefully I can learn stand up slides soon.
