Pro skiers that are actually cool

after meeting and sessioning with pros throughout the years, not many are notably chill and cool people. most seem to be x-racers, with a shitty attitude. considering they get paid to ski, you'd think they would be amazing characters, not douchers. this is not a hate thread, listing of chill pros only.

i swear i just finished dealing with you in another thread.

are you saying all ex-racers have shoddy attitudes? do you realize that some of the skiers you named raced in their past? making them ex-racers. dont come onto NS and say that alot of pros are shitty people when:

1) you do not honestly know them well enough to say anything.

2) they are professionals who get paid to ski. they obviously love what they do, considering they would not have put that much time and fucking effort into making skiing a PROFESSION.

Hung out with Decker, Brogan, and Dadali over the weekend. Add them to your list. Also hung with Tom Wallisch, Mike Hornbeck, Andrew Hathaway, and Matt Walker at the Midwest Ski Film Festival. All of them are totally legit.

It's harder to find an uncool pro skier, than to find a cool one.

alex, have you ever met a pro? or ride the lift with your favorite skier of all time?

its an incredible experience that say a "football fan" will indefinitely never have. skiing is small, and pros are at the mountain all the time, and if you compete you will hike with the people you aspire to. some are cool and friendly, some are not.

WHAT?, i dont know you, and i dont care.  dont post in my threads!troll

you wouldnt meet a chill pro if they werent down to earth enough to talk to.

Sage and Eric Pollard are two of the nicest guys i have ever met in my life.
Ahmet and Giray are both awesome as well. Tanner is hilarious, i would love to ride with him cause he's such a cool guy and just gets mad stoked.

tj was cool but i imagined him to be a lot nicer.
rory bushfield and sarah burke are the nicest and most down to earth pros ive met. colby and chug are hilarious and nice too. kaya turski was kinda a bitch and worried about herself learning new things more then the campers.

they're just regular people out to have a good time on the hill, no different than me or anyone else on this site. i've skied with, hung out with, drank with a bunch of people who i'd consider friends and are now 'pro' by NS standards. i guess being involved in this industry for so long has kind of worn away all the sparkly glittery amazingness that some people seem to get when they catch a glimpse of tom hiking a rail they're about to hit or something like that.
