I could have started when I was four, but for some reason I did not like it, so I hated skiing until I tried it again at the age of nine.  Would I be a better skier if I had started at the age of four, no.  Would my life be different, oh yes.

been skiing since I was about 8 so i guess i just wish i didn't live in upstate new york and had good places to ski so i wanted to do it more.  I wish i wasn't 22 when I finally moved to CO and skied park for the first time.  Learning tricks for the first time hurts a lot more when you're 22 than 14.

ive only been skiing for two years, but to be honest I don't mind that much. I snowboarded for 8 before I skied, and eventually got bored with it. I've been rollerblading for 10 years so a lot of skills translate to snow. I've progressed super quick in my mind and im really happy with it. everytime I go skiing I try to learn new stuff...every ounce of progression stokes me out so much. its something new in my life and I appreciate it that much more. now im at the point where I need to step up the bar. ive established a comfort zone and I need to break out of it. before, everything was new to me. now I have a solid amount of tricks...I really need to push harder to get better.

it's all gonna start in less than a week, once im back in CO im starting to get ready to kill it. hitting up the tramps at least once a week and im gonna try and hike the 4th of july bowl as much as humanly possible. I also want to session the foam pit at woodward@copper a few times and try throwing some new shit with skis on. I want to be comfortable throwing new tricks before the season even officially starts. hopefully it'll make up for being a lazy fuck all summer, even though I was pretty much forced to move back home in philly for 3 months.

Yeah I do, I started when i was about 13 or 14 and i knew i wanted to ride park and be good at it, if i had a early start and was already able to ski well, i would have been able to progress much faster and now that i'm 21 i think i would be a much better skier, but NBD, i still love it.

i started at 12 when one of my friends familys got my family to go with them to keystone for a ski trip. i had never been west of chicago before, let alone colorado, so i had never seen a REAL mountain before. it was the most amazing place to learn and i became addicted immediately. after my first lesson the ski instructor told me that schoolmarme (a green) might be a little advanced for my first day, but i did it anyway with my friends and after that we hit up paymaster (a blue). considering it was my first day, i did think i did very well.

so to answer your question, i wish i would have been thrown onto skis as a fetus.

yes, i wish i would've started skiing when i was younger than 13.

but i'm just glad i found skiing. neither of my parents really skied and i just randomly went on a high school ski club trip in 8th grade thinking it sounded fun. and then i fell in love and i've been hooked ever since.

this year will be my third real year of skiing and i really wish that i could have found the joy of skiing years ago, i will make sure that if i have children that they get to share my love of the sport at a young age

Ive been lucky enough to ski out west since I can ever remember, but I never fully appreciated it, and with a bad foot boots never fit right and I hated every minute of skiing. moving out west turned me into a solid skier and now I love it.

started when I was 2, although I don't think I'm as good as I should be (with regards to freestyle). Only started getting into newschool skiing when I was 20 or so even though I knew about it long before that, Also have never done any gymnastics or tramp or anything like that so aerial awareness is almost non-existant hence why i'm a jibber when it comes to hanging in the park.

also skiing only one week a year and a few other days during the Aussie season (and a week or two overseas) doesn't help when it comes to progression 

would have loved to got into freestyle as a young teen as most kids on the hill do these days, seeing the talent young kids have is amazing, 7's like nothing.

this is all I wish when it comes to skiing....

i started when i was 4....but that was 21 years ago...and parks were snowboarders only. if you got caught by ski patrol you got your ticket clipped. so i wish i could have gotten into park at an earlier age. some of the older people at my mountain still call it the snowboard park....silly old people.

I hated skiing when i first started and i played sick. but the next year i was going to snowboard but i had to go to a all season long training thing. so i skied and loved it soooooooooo much.

I started skiing at 3 1/2 but i wish i would have started park earlier. Growing up in So Cal i didnt have friends to ski with or teach me how to do stuff so by the time I did I was 18 6'5 250 lbs and knew what pain was as motivated as I try to get I only ride park during the spring and when im back home. Plus moving the VT for school this year just made me realize how far behind the 8 ball i am as a skiier in genreal so i think its time to just put park on hold and get back to the basics. I wish i could have learned somewhere where it wasnt slush 24/7  becasue all these cats who grew up in the east coast absolutely rip hard.

started when i was like 3 and i wish i had stuck with it/ gone to better places. my family could not afford to give me many lessons and take me anywhere better than my home mountain, so until i really got into it i wasn't very good. skiing 30 days a year for the past three years has basically gotten me to were you wouldn't be able to tell though, so its all good.

i started when i was 3, but just wasn't able to go often enough. one of my buddies started at about the same age, but was able to go every weekend for about 10 years, and that just skyrocketed his abilities compared with mine
