Ridiculous

Rumors are starting to circulate about Tom riding for Scott skis. The truth is that Tom is now riding for Burton. The reason to him riding Scott skis is that Burton and Scott have had a long term company relationship. To keep the "hype" down to a minimum, Scott offered up their graphics to conceal the fact that he is indeed riding the first ever Burton prototype skis. Tom has been reported saying,

"I'm stoked to be riding for this great company (Burton)! I know how much they've supported and done for snowboarding and I can imagine that they will do the same for skiing."

The new Burton skis called the, hyphy sticks (a working title), are due to be on display at SIA 2010 in Boulder, Co.

money and a new view is not what the ski industry needs, everybody thought that some mainstream hype would be good for snowboarding to but burton basically took the soul and style from snowboarding now everyone who can strap in to a board by themselves is sponsored by target or some company their cousins boyfriend made up just so they could say that they are "sponsored" i stopped snowboarding for this reason, so lets keep freeskiing underground we're better off that way!

If Burton ever did decide to get in on the ski industry they would probably cover up theyre past with some bullshit like

"Oh skiing, well when we did all of those mean things it was because you hadn't developed as a sport into a style we could get along with but skiing has come so far in the past decade we feel that we can finally be compatible with skiing we're here to bestow our sheer awesome on your sport."

ya that wouldn't fly, not very far at least.

you first off Burton has been "in" skiing for a while. ask Mike Schnider(owner and founder of surface skis) bruton has press many skis. example the 2nd generation of surfaces! so yeah guys please do your homework next if Burton made skis under their name that would be sick look how sick libs were and are for real guys leave your hate of the board companies and lets add a lil love!

well Peter Bauer himself, fouder of Amplid, was for many years one of the top pro riders for burton and from what i read the first amplid proto were pressed by burton...
just to point out that thigs are never so "black vs. white", "good vs. evil", they get much more blurred if you look at them thouroughly
and Amplid is a great company and his doing so much for freeskiing, this is out of doubt...

i've been here for no longer than a month and i've just questioned T-Wall: i leave with shame to atone for my sin, pardon me : )
