Rumors are starting to circulate about Tom riding for Scott skis. The truth is that Tom is now riding for Burton. The reason to him riding Scott skis is that Burton and Scott have had a long term company relationship. To keep the "hype" down to a minimum, Scott offered up their graphics to conceal the fact that he is indeed riding the first ever Burton prototype skis. Tom has been reported saying,

"I'm stoked to be riding for this great company (Burton)! I know how much they've supported and done for snowboarding and I can imagine that they will do the same for skiing."

The new Burton skis called the, hyphy sticks (a working title), are due to be on display at SIA 2010 in Boulder, Co.

either way... maybe he wasnt telling you the truth, because he's letting burton make the press release thats coming out later this week so I hear... its going to be big, apparently...

if this is actualy happening, you can bet he had to sign a shitload of papers making sure he is not allowed to tell a single breathing thing.

on an other note, screw burton! they have been against skiers for years and now they just want a share of the profits. If you go to their factory, they have a box and only snowboarders can ride it without geting dirty looks or asshole comments.

Ok i was just at windells sesh 4, and had colloin collins as my coach, he told me that tom had signed over to scott, i am not sure about the burton thing but it sounds true. Also tom had a scott shirt, hat, goggs, pants and skis, some kid asked him if he was on scott, tom said that he was just trying them out. Also tanner is no longer redbulls BIG sponsor child, you guys will have to wait and see who will be the next.

damn all of you guys are retards to belive this. tom likes to keep is underground and doesnt like played shit. so why would he join burton? my friend was at da hood house for like 2 days and scott gave tom some skis. but tom gave them to steve stepp and seve gave them to someone else

the fact of the matter is, skiing is a business- as much as it is fun. the more successs you have in the business aspect relates to how much fun you can have in the sport. believe it. he's not selling out, just looking out for his own interests and that of the sport. if you want underground, you got travis heed and mickeal. who are really ballin still.

but atleast our sport should get mad exposure.  they picked the best of the best and t-wall should be the "Shawn White" of skiing.  what i mean by that is even people that dont follow freestyle skiing will know the name Tom Wallisch.

it also doesn't make any sense because skiing and snowboarding are already "integrated" in the sense that there are a few companies that make skis and snowboards already (i.e. Salomon), plus burton would be committing suicide if they ever started making skis.

i actually talked to tom in person. he said all he was doing was trying out some scott skis because he is now on scott goggles. he is still on amplid, he sayed " im not switching sponsors or anything" hes just trying scott out. god. burton skis?
