I'm not too savvy with computer programs, but I use Aperture to do adjustments with all the pictures I take, and would like to add a watermark or even just some text at the bottom with my name/copyright, but Aperture doesn't have any text features (or I just haven't figured it out). I don't want to download Photoshop because other than this one problem, I can do pretty much everything I want in Aperture. Does anyone know of a plug in or something that I can download to do this?
Actually, I just think it would be nice to have my name across the bottom so when my friends post my pictures in other places and forget to give photo cred, people still know who took it. So, I guess not so much a watermark, but a text tool.
dude, straight up go to photoshop, choose a nice elegant font, black or white is your color choices for a watermark, then place it on the bottom corner of the picture and make sure you use the same size font on the pictures, and also then just do what color fits best, also sometimes lower the optacity. go to apple.com look in downloads, look at aperture extensions. There is one called boarderfx, it can quickly apply boarders/ watermarks, text whatever you want to batches of photos.
putting your name in the bottom corner of a shot doesn't protect shit, anyone can crop it out and if they're half okay at photoshop could get rid of it through cloning or other tools depending what it was laid over
