This film is so sick!

I watched it a long time ago when I probably didn't appreciate it as much as I would now. I haven't been able to find it anywhere though.

it means "crazy life" right? i remember seeing this when i was really little at my parents faculty party haha. I definitely would get more out of it by watching it now. I remember it being really nuts and being in awe the entire time.

it means life out of balance
the cinematography is amazing I first saw it in film class 3 years ago and Ive been looking for it and I just bought the trilogy online

but yeah this film is amazing stuff

we watched a bunch of clips from it in my ecology 302 class...the canyon/rock formation segment thing was crazy awesome

i actually was not that impressed by it when i first saw it. It does have some good elements, and shows humans from a perspective of something else, but it seems lacking of what we truly are.

Thats the point, Kubric was trying to show the dehumanization of technology. Notice how everybody's face is always down and it shows most people looking down on them. He is trying to show the loss of individuality and how we just work as if we are parts of a machine itself then shows a few faces to try and get us to feel sympathetic for ourselves and revolt against technology.

btw, anyone know exactly how it is pronounced, I have been saying kye-onna-scott-see but im not for sure on that.
