How to spin faster

I, really fucking can't figure out how to spin fast enough, even for like a 3 and sure make fun of me all you want. I've only been park skiing for 8 days in total i've landed one 3 i can do tripple kink rails and all that shit but i CAN"T spin fast and it's pissing me off like a shitload.
If you guys have any suggestions please give them they would be much appreciated

The best way to advance from 3's to 5's and make 3's comfortable is just to do them again and again and again. The more you do them, the better you'll get.

take off with a wide stance, then bring your feet together when you rotate, and use your hips and head

stand up straight, hit it fast, pop, dont spin to early.  Go through the motions as if you were running up to a jump and doing a 360 without skis on and then do it with skis on.  The key is to not spin to early or u will eat shit bad usually.  Right before you pop off the lip, set your spin meaning, wind up a little bit (twist your arms the opposite way you spin, dont do too much windup though) and then pop off with your spin already started, look down to spot your landing at about 180ish and then land

Id rather be able to do a triple kink than a 360 but all you really need to do is THROW YOURE HEAD and keep it thwons

to make ur efforts to spin more effective and as result learn to spin faster.when throwing urself into the sping, pull ur feet in and make sure that ur arms are kept below shoulder height (not wraaped round ur head)

the more compact u are the fast ur spind and more time u have in the air to finish the spind

try some spins without poles and then go and do them with poles

my question is what park do you ride, because usually i see a lot of 5s

andd i had the same problem as whoever posted the thread, i still suck ass at 3s but, ive landed a few decent ones. i started doing 3s and spinning way to early and once i spun so early that my invader delamed and i just went corked and fell on my face..

how big is the jump your spinning off of? because i would try it on 20s and have troubble but when i hit a bigger one it was mad easier

all you have to do is come up kinda wide stance and arms opposite of how you spin come off and wait till your completely off the jump then throw your head over your shoulders when your spinning and keep it there till about 180 or so but keep commited to your spin then spot your landing and ski away.

biggest thing is keeping your head turned.  always look over your shoulder.  the harder you turn your head over your shoulder the quicker you will spin as well

i have done 3's and 5's without grabs....why is that when i pull my knees up to do a grab with a 3 i stop spinning...any tips at all

Hey if you wanna spin fast just look over your shoulder towards your back, keep lookin until you can see the landing. Another way involves counter rotating and it works but doesn't look the greatest, it involves building up tortional energy and then releasing it once you come off the jump.

age has nothing to do with it. I know kids who can do some crazy spins and I also know people in their 20's who are afraid to go off a 20" jump just normal.

make yourself as ball-shaped as possible. Just don't stay that way, when your coming down open up again and prepare to absorb the landing shock.

the key to spinning is the pop and just looking over your shoulder... the whole time your looking u will keep spinning and when u stop to spot your landing the rotation will stop... when you take off the lip you should instantly SEE the lip going bye bye... after you start spinning pull up your legs to grab... dont try to reach down to your skis... being compressed in the air gives u more control in the air and your not fighting the spin so much...to spin more like 5's 7's etc you simply pop a little bit harder and throw it a little bit harder... just a little harder each time... it takes a while to grasp poping and looking over your shoulder so your not fighting the spin... you really dont have to "wind up" as much as u see people doing or saying... its really all in the pop...if u just keep trying ull get it once and be like chyea thats it...

well actually first of all i know where this kid skis. i ski in the same place and im pretty sure hes claiming to do this easy triplet kink box that we have that is like doing a normal box. you dont feel the kinks and it is about 30 feet long. easy shit. anyone can do it. my sister can do it. and second of all i see lots of kids spin 5s in the park. saw 3 kids doing 5's the other day.

hahahaha. same exact problem. on trampolines and ground i can only spin left, so i spent alot of time trying to spin skiing left, then i was like, well in high five charles gagnier emphasized how you are a better/more versatile skier if you go both ways, so i said fuck it, went right, and ive stayed right ever since
