i am in 8th grade an i run about a 6.10 mile which is nothing impressive. i have a friend in 7th grade who just recently broke 5 minutes. he is 12-13 years old and HE BROKE FIVE MINUTES. that is insane
i ride a 153 cuz im tiny, not cuz im gay. next year im getting a 165 or 169

i run a 4:53 but my friend runs a 4:19. at our meet today they went out really slow so their split for the 800 was 2:20, third lap he did in 58 because he was going way to slow, and then finished up in 4:24.

I did 5:18 first time ever... haven't done it since. I'm not a long distance runner either and I was really out of shape when I did, so was everyone else in our class, my friend was spittin up blood and stuff.

they make little kids run a lot and then the just burn out. i really dont like running track competively at all, so i dont try. i like being on the team a lot though.

i can run a 4:50 but that won't place in any meets so i usually do the 800, which i can usually run in 2:04-2:05. Hopefully next year i can get that down to 2:02 and qualify for state.

i just helped at a middle school meet last weekend and some kid in 8th grade (13yrs old) ran a 4:47 mile and a 10:31 2 mile. it was sweet.

i think running is one of the most boring sports to do. i cant stand it, but maybe im odd.

I don't like to run competitively, but I like running for myself in the mornings (like a 3 mile jog, 1 mile sprint). When I run in track meets, my muscles always get tense, and I end up pulling something, which isn't fun. Last time I did the 1600, I fell over at the end up the race cause my leg started spazzing out and I couldn't stand on it cause it hurt so bad. although, I did win the race.

i know an 8th grader whos mile time is 4:32, hes going for the national 8th grade record at states.

I dont run either. When I am playing sports like soccer and shit I can run hella fast but in races I suck.

they just had the prefontaine classic on tv, in the mens mile (1600), a couple high schoolers ran with the pros to try and break 4mins., Steve Magness was close with a time of 4:01.02, kind of dissapointing, but it was a personal record for him. So far there have only been 4 highschoolers to break 4mins so its a pretty astonishing feat, all i know is i wouldn't be dissapointed with a 4:01.

My best is 5:12 in a meet. Maybe next year I will stand a chance of breaking the 5 minute mark. It is weird because my best 3200 is 10:32 which is double the distance at the same pace.
