Yeah, that was out of line. If you are a spoiled bitch, so am I for living like 20 minutes from Heavenly and 40 from Kirkwood. An hour and change from all other Tahoe resorts, and 2 hours from Mammoth.
I'm not saying I'm dying to drive a few hours for great skiing, but CU-Boulder is the only school that my parents were down with that had great skiing at all. I kinda wanted to go to UNR just cause of the Millenium and shit, but that wasn't an option.
So I'm pumped on CU. Don't hate on it, just because we are all tired of having these stupid macho debates. I'll be in tahoe for all my holidays and shit, so I'll get the best of both worlds.
how the hell could you turn down the milleniun? I get paid a couple grand a semester to go to school here for that. I am curious to know that swayed you away from that?
My parents wouldn't let me go to UNR. I live in Gardnerville, and they don't want me to be like all the people around here that go to UNR then just come back and live in Gardnerville.
They also don't like me skiing, they think it's dangerous that I use it as sort of an antidepressant. But they gave in to CU-boulder cause I pitched a really great campaign to let me go there, even though Colorado is not much better than UNR academically. and I got a bunch of academic scholarships locally so it's not that expensive.
My folks don't want me to be like "addicted" to skiing but it's a little late for that. My dad is a pretty successful businessman and they don't want me to be a ski bum.
A degree from UNR and a Degree from CU are about the same, except a few specialized parts of each school where they accell. Like mentioned earlier both schools are far enough down the list not to hold any prestige over the other, but at the same time high enough to give cred to the grad certificate. If it's credit your after look for ivy or top 50 schools. CU and UNR are more about having a good time and getting a solid education.
i dont really care to read you kids bitch about colleges, but i am goin to CU business school, living in smith in kittridge, got a roomy named andrew from Colorado Springs, holla if your on here and you ski, that'd be sick... ummm yea, lets go get drunk and do some business too...
a few questions. What community college did you drop out of to think that graduating from a large state school takes nobel-prize-winning talent? its not that fucking hard, alot of people do it. I go to a school that is alot smaller than CU boulder, and the senior level courses are always there when you need them to be (none of my upper class friends have had any problems). Schools don't love fucking their students over because when people graduate on time the school looks better on paper. Being a skier i obviously applied and got into CU, but despite chosing another place i'm not about to hate all over the school. Why are you so bitter man? did you get rejected (don't worry, you can start a club with the 14% of people who that happens to)? did you go there for a semester and have no friends? Or did you fail one of those "500:1" classes that most people can pass in their sleep?
For the dude who is going to Boulder: I was very tempted to go there, and I'm sure you will have the sickest 4 years ever. Whatever you want to do, you can because everyone there is into it also.
as soon as you fuckers admit that CU isnt the best college for skiing in the state of colorado then ill shut up.
but i take my state and my skiing seriously, and i dont want misinformation spread about my beloved state. and if people are out there saying "CU is the best college for skiing in CO", then that is that misinformation getting spread.
my beef with CU is a side issue and isnt on trial here. i hate CU for various reasons (no, they didnt reject me. no, i wasnt beat up there. strode hit the reason boulder sucks right on), but everyone knows that and thats not what im arguing here. so if you want me to shut up, rather then come back with lame attempts to reason why CU isnt the asshole of colorado, simply say, "well alright, CU may not be the best college for skiing in the state, but its still a good school." then you can go fuck yourselves and have a good day.
well alright, CU may not be the best college for skiing in the state, but its still a good school
I'm gonna go fuck myself now.
And to any NS-ers on here. We shall all meet up in CU, and be sure that the first hit of grass that you take is going to be Tahoe Trainwreck, and it's gonna be on me. That includes you, Walker.
