Build a real jump with tons of kick, not a fifty foot roller, need an example, the first jump in the park at lake louise or chaos at Nakiska( the one thats right beside the chair). that would be a goodstart

set the rails up the way they were 2 years ago and build jumps just like the guy above said. basically, anything done this year is wrong.

Have good jumps onto the rails and maybee one set up like an urban with the little jumps.
Then ya a couple good tables and maybee a wall at the bottom. I know thats a lot like COP but it's sick

Yeah less ride on rails Less ride on rails like the battleship and big rainbow Its good for little snowboarders whom can't get on rails with a gap but sucks for every one else. I know the chances for for this are slim to none, but it nees to be longer with some flow, Not twenty five rails set up width wise across the hill, Needs more room to work with

Fire all the park crew. I didnt once see them maintain any features during the day. They set up everything wrong and ruined the park this year.
My biggest beef is make the mini park mini and the big park big. Segregate the two parks. There were dozens of little kids in the big park later in the year when they made everything small again and they got in people's way and got ran over and hurt people because they dont know anything about park. When everything was big and gnarly, they werent in there and they didnt get hurt and they didnt hurt us. My buddy ran ino a kid who wasn't looking as he went across the jump line and he broke his collarbone.
Make ONE good park, with big stuff in it. There are hundreds of riders around who can hit bigger stuff.
Next, make 2 GOOD jumps! They had an amzing middle table for about a month and it was sick. Why did they get rid of it?
Put in some flow!!! They totally wasted the space where the pipe was. At the beginning they had a nice line of rails, but then they took that out, and put 2 rails there, side by side. Why the fuck are they side by side? why not one after the other? And the rainbow set up was a disaster. Please though, do not build a pipe unless it is a superpipe.
This was my 4th or 5th year riding there and by FAR this was the worst park they've ever had.
Kyle, seriously print this out and give it to them.

good points, i have never been there but depending on the ammount of room available, you should have a nice jump like of 2 or 3 good sized tables and a few rial lines, even something like cop (cause they have very little room to put stuff in but it always turn out good) you could have a mix of a rail or 2 then a few tables and then more rails, and the wider the jump, and bigger the gap for a rail the better (in the big park anyways) so that the anoying little kids dont get in your way and ruin your run or your season

fire the park staff.. have the guy from cop design the entire park and jumps, and come to rabbit to make it... then mantain it, dont change anything. thats what twatina did last year and they had such good jumps last yar.

What do you mean about twatinas jumps, we have always had the same scariest 30ft stepdown ever There never was a park crew until this year and we're just a group of riders whom build it for free passes. Were might be hauling in dirt this summer and were spening a lot more time on making a good 50ft plus table.

I thought the big hit was better this year, more kick but the others kinda really suck, The pipe isn't really anything we know much about, whats wrong with it

Just let Perry do his thing on that pipe. It was sick last year, just not a steep enough pitch. But it was groomed perfectly.

yeah at the meeting, jim (one of the owners) asked me what i liked in a jump. i said lots of kick. the other skier agreed. he asked the boarders what they liked and most said floaters.
thanks guys for all the suggestions. i probably will print them off and give them to jim. keep em coming

Sup guys, i only made it to the main park once and temp park once this year, but my suggestion would be to build a pile of snow like two and a half times taller than what they are used to. You do that you can build a 35 foot table that would put you off the snow deck like 15-20 feet, the jump this year was floaty and had no pop just cause if you put pop on the jump the trany was like 2 feet long, you could totally build a 25 foot long trany that would chuck you into the air and the boarders could still carv off the lips, the way it is now, if you build a kicky jump the boarders just get tossed, im not a fan of COPS jump cause they are not kicky enough and way to easy to over shoot. Louise builds jump that sends you to the roof. Now what you got to consider is will insurance allow you to do that and will rabbit maintain it.

jats is right about the short tranny issue. i was at rabbit today and the bottom jump has a ton of kick but it's really abrupt making it really sketchy. you neede something built like the top right table only twice as big so that you can make a long transition into a kicky jump.

Tell them that you an have both a kicky, and floaty lip.
Tell them that the PERFECT lip was the one they had on the middle jump when it was big. It was perfect. There was no kick, but it was angled so that you got lots of time in the air. You just need a longer lip with more tranny so its not kicky, but it still puts u in the air.

And it has to be fucking massive

The park now is MUCH better. The lips are good, could be bigger though, and everything else is set up alot better.

any features that you guys wanna see?
i liked teh up box. i kinda want a long, flat box. i think a 16 by 32 foot wall is in the plans for biking, and well probably be able to set that up too

What they need to improve on:
#1 Make more snow!!! all the rails should be raised above the snow so u have landings and trannys, and so the landings and lips on the jumps can be longer and steeper (less injuries/more fun).
#2 Flow. Lines, options, more features in one run.
#3 Bigger jumps, maybe not in length but in landings and lips. Think air time, not always table length. If they blow more snow they could easily have 2 really fun jumps, maybe 3. Show them how much snow a good park blows, like Louise. They probably blow as much snow for one jump as rabbit does for the whole park.
#4 Maintain the features. Rabbit is busy and open at night, so it gets icey and rutted. Rake, paint and shape the lips and landings at least a few times a day for each feature.
#5 No pipe unless it is a super pipe and longer than anything before.
#6 If they annexed Route 27 they'd have more room and would be able to make alot of cool stuff happen.

Oh and make sure for any future wallrides that the box part on top is angled towards the skier, not flat on top like it was last year. If you do make it all the way to the top with a flat-top, your momentum carries you right over the other side to your death.

Better yet, move the park to River Run and have it go top to bottom.

or make a jump line top to bottom right underneath the chair. now that'd be cool.

there was good rails this year but where the battleship was beside the 40ft jump change that into a 30footer and leave the 40 there then keep the 55footer where it was and put a half-pipe none of this quarter-pipe bullshit

I'll add my voice to this. I also really enjoyed the way the park was set up for the end of the season. I especially enjoyed the hip jump, aside from nearly nailing a mom and maybe 5 year old son who were trying to ski into the park on the jump. I think that one of the best ways to improve the park would be to have a park pass system.
