Heres the deal: If its for sale, not here, and not B/S/T either. Its great that you've found a way to make some extra bucks this summer, but I'm having to delete a lot of these threads. Start a cult, advertise on facebook, whatever, just not in these two forums.

Thank you Rowen. I was getting so fed up with all these people trying to sell hoodies.

Question though, what if you had bought the hoodie off of somebody and you want to sell it? Can you sell it in the B/S/T forum along with your sale? or will you have to sell it on your own?

Wait a minute.
Why can't you sell homemade hoodies or other cool/lame homemade gear, which is made by fellow NS'ers and goes to willing other NS'ers, but you can have threads such as this one:

which might I add is stickied and on ski gabber.  Don't get me wrong, I think ON3P is a cool company and all but, as Rowen himself says: "Start a cult, advertise on facebook, whatever, just not in these two forums"
Or maybe buy some ad space like other companies?
Just seems a bit hypocritical and wrong to me.  Let these people sell their homemade stuff.

Alright, sorry I haven't noticed.
I just don't think we need a million threads about ON3P presale, etc.  Mostly just the one stickied advertisement thread on ski gabber which is there because so many mods are with the company.

i hate seeing a hoodie with the big stripe in the middle that someone made by just adding 8 inches of fabric to the center of a $10 walmart hoodie and then tries to sell it for $60 in b/s/t called it a "tall custom hoodie" and has a title like CUSTOM TALL HOODIES TALL CUSTOM TALL CUSTOM HOODIES!!!!!!!!

heii guize i started a custom hoodie/crews/apparel company thats really thug called HHOODRICH. my mommys sewing class taught me how to make them from scratch. my smallest size i make is 9XLT but if you pay extra i will make a smaller one. We are a grassroots company based out of the suburbs and make it all by hand. each hoodie is 150 plus shipping.i can do 2 colors. white and red. i can also make a leigh powis hoodie really good. please by my stuff i need money for windells.

okay that makes sense. If it's a kid selling a couple of hoodies he made during injury, then that's fine, but start-up brands shouldn't be using the forums to push their stuff.

Please just get rid of that stickied thread in ski gabber, or hell, unsticky it.  This isn't a website for promoting one brand among others, although I'm starting to have my doubts.

I know, thats fine.  I just saw some in the ad space where they payed for them.  But I still don't feel like that gives them the right to sticky an ad-like thread in Ski Gabber.
I also don't see any stickied threads for other ad-paying companies such as Genworth Financial, Planet Earth, Landyachtz, Momentum, or even Line (some other companies I just saw ads for).
Just my thoughts.  The ON3P guys are cool and all, but I don't want to continue seeing this site be taken over.

I do agree that all this ON3P is a little overboard and there should not be a stickied thread for presales, unless all the presale threads are stickied.

Mods dont have sticky powers, so whatever get stickied or not is out of our hands. By no means do we have exclusive 'sticky' rights or anything, what is done in that arena is an admins call.

Its not a conflict of interest, these are not new rules. I'm all for small companies starting up and making it (duh), but if everyone was to post theirs, these boards would be nothing but startups looking for free ad space. Advertise away, but just follow the rules. Put it in your sig, start a cult, or if you want to really reach people, talk to the admins about getting an orange name or a few banner ads. NS is one of the best ways to reach the freeskiing market, all we ask is that you do it without spamming our boards.

ok so i totally agree with all these random hoodie companys being made. but what if we do something original and different? for example, i am trying to start up a tshirt company with my friend, and we have been thinking of ways to put ourselves away from all the other companies. We have our own website and stuff, so would making a thread be alright?

Mods do not have sticky powers, that is all done thru admins, so no one at ON3P can sticky are own threads.

ON3P pays NS thousands of dollars to not only have ads on the sides of the forums, but for the rights to advertise in the forums themselves, which includes promotional sales threads. That is no different than any company who pays NS for advertising.

I've only put up one thread about this year's presale, in Ski Gabber, so every other thread started about us has been done so by someone with no affiliation with ON3P and is thus completely out of our control.

We follow the advertising rules of NS just like anyone else.
