There is a flyer in a building on campus that happens to be shared by the math and english departments, and it starts with "If your in need of a math tutor..." There is a bounty of red ink with the question "Need an english tutor?" neatly printed above. It's not that minor of an offense considering they are two totally different words, and making an error your learned about in sixth grade does a lot to discredit anything you say thereafter.

/grammar police rant.

I use the charmap or sometimes I go into word.

I know the internet isn't a place in which you should write formally.  In fact, I admit a lot of the things I write are shitty, but messing up basic things like that make me upset!

the english language as a whole is fucking retard

with tonnes of fucking dumb double meanings, so many different grammar interpretations, different ways to do things correctly in different places (americans...) and no really correct way to do many many things to do with grammar

its just a hack show pretty much
its what happens when you mash a buncha languages together and hope for the best
