Polarized filter on a GoPro

I'm trying to put a polarizing filter on my gopro before winter and the killer light comes.
I'm thinking that i might be able to glue a step up ring on to the housing as just screw on the filter when i want it.

I bought a 37-43mm step up ring and a 43mm filter, but i got a pretty big vignette
with just the step up ring

so i'm going to return those guys for a 39-52mm
i think the 52 will look pretty goofy on the gopro, but it might just work

has anyone else tried to put a polarizer on their gopro?

i was just doing a quick test to see if the filter was big enough, so it was a bit shaky

i think it would be sweet for winter if i get it working

first of all it cuts the amount of light roughly in half, good for sunny days on the slopes

it also filters out light by direction, most stuff wont change, but some stuff will look cool. depending on how you rotate it, you can get more saturated skys, no reflections on windows, different shading on glossy surfaces. google polarizer, theres probs some cool stuff

They should put a 43mm ring on a gopro, then you could just use a step up

if you glue the stepup ring to your housing just remember you wont be able to get it off to easily. so you might always have the polarized filter on, even wen you dont need/want it.

the point of gluing the step up ring on is so i can take the filter off when i don't want it
if i want to take it off i can just unscrew the filter from the step up ring

i never ended up getting a bigger step up ring and filter

i'd really like to do this still, but i have no money at the moment

They have the eye of mine thing some other kid posted where they put an nd filter into the actual housing. But it would be sick if you got a real polarizer onnit so my threads

Well to add, it cuts out the amount of non visible light so you don't get overexposed blown up images.

Basically, google it. It is very hard to explain.
