Well, that was wild! One of the best displays of Women's Big Air skiing we've ever seen with several 16s and a world first, this was truly an X Games standard Big Air throwdown. And despite having to watch half an hour of SteepSteep streaming while hearing tricks go down via a live Tik Tok stream the coverage was of a nearly perfect evening of big air skiing.

Lets get to it!

The opening runs of the big air showed that the ladies were pulling no punches, hammers were thrown from the start. Grace Henderson opened proceedings with a right dubcork 10, boot grab, but a first for her so setting the progression tone early. Sandra Eie laced a dub cork 10 safety with classic Norwegian style. Kirsty Muir put down the first score in the high thirties, 38, with her classic left dub cork 12 blunt capped and really clean. This set the benchmark. Megan Oldham came out with a triple cork 14, a worlds first, attempt. Grabbing high mute and super styled but she wheelied out of the landing and couldn't hold on. Mathilde threw a clean dub cork 10 but wasn't scored highly for it. Tess showed her big air pedigree and laced her dub cork 16 tindy right out of the gate scoring 46.

In the second set of runs, Grace Henderson continued to clean up her dub cork 10 and Sandra Eie bumped her 10 to a 12. Kirsty Muir improved on her dub 12, taking it to 14 with a super flippy D-spin-esque axis; earning 43 and bumping her score to 81 and a preliminary spot in 1st. Olivia Asselin dropped in switch but didn't like the takeoff and bailed early on the rotation. Megan's triple attempt was closer this time, the stomp felt inevitable at this point. Mathilde then stepped up a gear dropping a left dub cork 16 safety/tindy, wrapping it up in the same style as Tess Ledeux, a bit of a hand drag knocked a few points but she still scored 43 for this one. Tess Ledeux sent a switch dub cork 12 and looked like she was possibly lining it up for 14, this earned her 42 for a total of 88, and a spot in first. Muir and Gremaud sat in 2nd and 3rd with Megan looking very dangerous.

In round 3, Sandra Eie added some style to her dub 12 adding in a lead blunt, although she couldn't hold on to the landing. Olivia Asselin sent a huge dub 10 and had to open up early but held on, she got snow snaked in the landing and this one looked like it hurt. Kirsty Muir continued to throw down in this epic battle, putting a 16 of her own in response to those of Mathilde and Tess. This earned her 44 and left her 3 points behind Tess. Sarah Hoefflin put down her signature switch dub cork 10 with a really high and stylish mute grab but hand drags hurt her score.

The stage had been set for this one right out of the gate as Megan Oldham dropped with two very close attempts at a triple 14. The takeoff and set were perfect, her mute right on the tip of the ski almost at nose. She stomped it, a world first for women, ever. The judges awarded this appropriately with 50. Ledeux wound up for the switch left 14, for 44 and a total of 90, still closely followed by Muir and Gremaud.

In run 4, Grace Henderson continued pushing herself for a left dub 12 blunt, her second brand-new trick of the year. Sandra Eie's dub 12 lead blunt was flawless and earned 41. Olivia Asselin perhaps hurt from the previous run stomped a Rodeo 5 Japan, huge, effortless and classic. Sarah turned her high mute into a high dub mute, looking so stylish. Megan put down a rightside dub 12 safety to earn her second score, it was super clean and was awarded 41, enough to take first by 1 point, ahead of Tess Ledeux. Mathilde sent a switch left 14 to try and claw back third but a loose landing was her undoing with the judges. Tess Ledeux took a nasty slam, not looking right straight from the takeoff, but skied away. The pressure was building for an epic final run.

For the final run, Grace Henderson laced a classy cork 7 blunt after putting down two brand new tricks in X-Games spirit. Kirsty Muir wrapped up tight 14 to see if she could bump up her score, she wiffed the grab so and wouldn't improve. Sarah Hoefflin landed the cleanest of her switch dub 10 high double mute for 41 but without aother high score she wouldn't threaten the podium. Megan Oldham tried to land a killer blow by throwing a right dub 14, she landed a bit front seat and took a hefty one. She would collect her poles and then have to watch from the bottom. Mathilde, sitting in 4th and the last threat to change up the podium, threw a switch left 14 locked she only managed to bump her second-highest score up to 41 and would remain in 4th. Tess switched up the grab on her 16, moving it from Tindy to blunt, the landing was loose and would dock her score. Leaving Megan in first, Tess in second and Kiststy in third.
