After years in planning Woodward has been approved to begin construction on a new facility outside of Park City in 2018. The facility will be built at Gorgoza Park, a short drive from the town of Park City. The main building will be over 52,000 square feet. Gorgoza Park currently features a tubing operation where a new chairlift will be built in addition to new mountain biking facilities, and an outdoor skate park. The lift will serve the 400' vertical hill where there have been several ski areas over the decades. the on-snow facilities will be home to a halfpipe and slopestyle course.
Here's what Woodward says about the new development:
"Woodward Park City will feature the world-class facilities and exceptional instruction Woodward has been known for in lifestyle and action sports for more than 40 years. It will offer an all-in-one, year-round training facility for a range of sports, including skateboarding, BMX, mountain biking, scooter, cheerleading, parkour, digital media, climbing, snowboarding, and skiing. Programming will range from all-access passes to day sessions to minicamps to special events. It will be a tailored, local experience that enhances Park City’s outdoor lifestyle and community."
