The deadline to get your entry for Superunknown XII submitted to Level 1 is the 20th February. To count down to the deadline, we'll be looking back at some of the greats of Superunknowns past and have a look at where the riders are at now. And what better place to start than with the first ever winner, Corey Vanular.

Skiing has come on a hell of a long way since Corey V won the very first Superunknown in 2003, but amazingly Corey himself is still here killing it. After winning the inaugural event, he proceeded to blow minds with his segments in Shanghai Six and Long Story Short, the latter of which he filmed in just a few days at the Level 1 spring park shoot. He's struggled with multiple blown ACLs but has always managed to grab the odd shot to keep the hype alive. And recently he's been back on top of the park urban games with handfuls of never been done butter tricks on to rails and mind boggling urban shots. He even made my prestigious top 10 tricks of 2014 list with his both ways wall to wall redirects.

Check out some more of the man himself below, and make sure to head on over to http://www.level1productions.com/news_detail.cfm?ID=449 to find out the full rules and regulations for Superunknown XII and submit your edit for a chance to follow in C-Van's footsteps!
