The Hellbent is back?! Well not quite, but a new ski just like it is.

Industry vet Marshal Olson founded Heritage Skis last year when he saw a new hole emerging in the market— while most companies continue to cater their skis and gear to the "average consumer", high-performance and niche design has fallen aside.

Enter the new Heritage Skis HB122. Crafted at the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon and inspired by the old K2 Hellbent which was retired in 2013, it's a ski for not everyone or even every day, but one that just might transport you back to the era when you could only watch ski movies once a year when they came through your town.

The HB122 is a full rocker ski, with a 122mm wide waist, and a full-height twin tip. Built with a custom-selected full wood core and bomber Ptex sidewalls, the HB122 is available in 179 and 189cm lengths, just like the old Hellbent, and is available for pre-order now for $666.

"The HB122 pays homage to the era when skiing was an art form, and powder was the canvas. Its design captures the soul of big fat floppy skis that once ruled the slopes, offering riders a journey back in time. This ski is not for everyone and will not be for every day, but for those special days, it will be a hell of a lot of fun."
