After almost 10 solid months of winter, it seems ridiculous for me to even think about skiing in the summer. I mean, I love skiing but its certainly not the only thing I love to do. Last summer I spent 6 weeks in Chile during their winter and this year I won't be going. I'm a little disappointed but at the same time I'm stoked to enjoy a full summer, as short as it may be. Here in Utah I'll be able to get my skiing fix all summer. Snowbird ski resort was open on july 4th with close to a 90" base! The Uinta mountains are also stacked with snow, and it should remain that way on the high peaks all summer.

My brother Neil and I celebrated his birthday and the summer solstice by skiing some cool lines in the uinta wilderness. Spread Eagle peak and Ostler peak were our objectives and it was cool to finally get em done! We're shooting for a snowboarding/fly-fishing epic at the end of july or august in the Uintas to finish off the season, or get it started, which ever the case may be.
