There is only a week and half of the Australian season left and just when you think things would be winding down, they really start to heat up in Perisher Blue’s Fusion Parks and Pipe! Some of the best riders in the country are in the Resort at present, ripping up the PlayStation Terrain Park and taking advantage of the perfectly cut jumps and soft spring landings.
Perisher Blue’s own Fusion Team members have been amongst some of the riders showing off their skills over the last few days. Tim Myers says, ‘Sunny weather and soft snow creates the perfect atmosphere for gettin’ your hero tricks on! No seriously it’s perfect for trying things you wouldn’t normally do. We’ve seen heaps of old school front flips, switch backys and mistys. There’s nothing better than pulling a big double in front of a chairlift full of Queenslanders on school holidays. The crowd always goes wild!’
Perisher Blue is home to Australia’s premier freeride terrain and some of the southern hemisphere’s biggest on snow events, like the Salomon Rail Slide, the Australian Halfpipe Championships and the Coca-Cola Wild Winter Weekend . The Resort is dedicated to creating bigger, better and safer terrain parks each year and looks forward to stepping it up again in 2009.
