On March 20th I met up with Iannick B, JD Zicat and Allison Thompson from Salomon for a day of skiing at Sunshine Village. Nothing better than a chill day at the mountain before gearing up for the second Canadian Jib Academy stop of the season.
Around 60 skiers registered to participate on the Saturday event at COP (Canadian Olympic Park). I never realized how cool this event really is for kids who take the time to register (there’s no registration fees). Not only do they get to ski all day with Salomon athletes but upon arrival they receive a Jib Academy bib, Skullcandy headphones, Salomon and NS stickers along with a bandana and SBC Skier magazine and a nice lunch…and all of this is free.
The Salomon coaches at COP included a stacked line-up including Iannick B, JD Zicat, Mike Douglas, Brandon Kelly, Noah Bowman, Drew Wittstock and local Ben Gerwing.
